Topic: What will be the "selling point" for you?

Dragon Quest X and maybe what ever retro is working on.

Hardware-wise, one of two things:

1) Either you can play every game on the tablet controller without the need for a TV and don't run into HD tiny-text problems or
2) There is no HD tiny-text problems on an SD TV (don't have an HD TV).

Software-wise, it's usually when I get a Mario platformer or two, a Mario Kart, and something else (DKC, Metroid etc) that lights me up to get one. I'm also really, really looking forward to Nintendo finally getting third party multiplats this generation. Not that there's many games that I want to play, but just having the option to play them, or try out demos, or dick around with something new once in awhile without having to go to an X-Box or a Playstation is what I really want.

Edit: Oh, and there needs to be a way to transfer Virtual Console games from the Wii to a Nintendo Network account. I am not buying another VC or eShop game until this becomes a reality.

Im not gonna get one for quite a while, im mostly a retro gamer.

The fact that it is the next Nintendo console.

However, I would be interested in...
-better third party support
-ports of all of the great PS360 games (Skyrim for example)
-better online (on par with 3DS or better)
-multiple Wii U controllers per console (for multiplayer, but that is a fantasy)
-and ports of XBLA/PSN games (such as Amy, Scott Pilgrim, etc.)

an affordable price
third party support and games- something that was lacking in the wii
a really great metroid game
virtual console

i don't care about the name.

Day one selling points:

• Affordable price.
• Good launch games.
• Some early games making great use of the tablet.

Main selling points overall:

• The neat features of the controller.
• Nintendo titles/exclusives.
• Small.
• Backwards compatible.
• HD Nintendo titles for the first time.

It's a Nintendo console. I don't need no other selling points . But I do hope it will cost no more than 300 € at launch. Otherwise I might wait for a while like I did with the 3DS.

No, I meant that I didn't care about Nintendo Network. See, online play really doesn't tickle my fancy. It's why Mario Kart 7 and Mario Tennis Open won't be in my 3DS library. Though I hope Heroes of Ruin can turn that around... that would be awesome.

That would be simply amazing.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a Skyrim port, unless you're thinking of a GOTY Edition. Bethesda always makes an Elder Scrolls GOTY Edition a while after the original game launches, and they've told Nintendo Power how much they'd like to put games on the Wii but it just doesn't have enough power. Things are different now and the timing is right. I'd keep an eye out for Skyrim GOTY Edition for the Wii U.

A new Metroid and F-Zero 3D.

Uh, we're talking about the Wii U here. All the F-Zeros since the SNES have been 3d.

A) They do make 3D TVs now, so they could do it in 3D.
B) It's a Typo.

Hey, if you're gonna bring it up, I might as well say that if they change the name to something decent, that'll be another selling point.

Forgot Too:

• Nintendo Network to have free multiplayer, no XBox Live-esque subscriptions.

Uh, really Sherlock? I am referring to stereoscopic 3D. I thought we were beyond having to specify that. But hey man, I invite you to check out Wipeout HD in STEREOSCOPIC 3D to give you an idea on rad F-Zero 3D could be.

If it can do what the PS3 does or more plus amazing games is all I need.
