Anytime I go in a best buy, a walmart, a gamestop, a target, or any other store that has games/consoles in it, you walk by the Wii U section and nobody is looking at anything, they are always in other sections and so are the workers.
Well I have a Wii U, my GF lives with me and loves Nintendo games so we check it, she will say, "lets see whats new to buy, i want something new." Every time we are disappointed as nothing new is there to buy. Its embarrassing almost to even go to the Wii u section, you feel like people are looking at you saying "those idiots bought a Wii U hahaha"
Its sad man..... Nintendo really messed up this time.
What kind of game are you looking for? That usually helps. The only games I want are SplinterCell and Rayman, which I won't be getting for a while. Just Dance 2014 came out recently. Don't you want to just dance?
I just went to Target today and the Wii U and 3DS sections were by far the busiest. There was anyways someone on the Wii U demo station so I guess that's a good thing.
By new, do you mean within 30 days or a week. Just wondering since there are different games that have been released between September and now and even before, so I'm not sure if its general games or a particular type.
Also try not to over think the store crowd. Eshop, online retailers, and customer's timing play to much of a role in what we normally see in-store.
A dying animal struggles, thrashes and howls in protest as its life torn from it. To see this in action, watch Animal Planet. The same thing happens when a video game is or isn't released. To see this in action, stay here.

I used to find this but things have changed a lot since Zelda came out. Went to HMV today and there was a woman from Nintendo helping at the demo station and about 5 people in the queue to play, and Wii U and 3DS combined had more shelf space than all other consoles combined! I couldn't believe what I saw lol.
My local GAME has had a few of the more recent games in, but the HMV has three new games since the launch line up.
I hate the shops for not having a good enough selection, buying online annoys me when I have to wait on delivery, and digital gets on my nerves because you get over charged.
Well to be fair, when I go to Target, Best Buy, Walmart etc. I never see more than like 5 people in the video game area. That is unless a blockbuster game like CoD, GTA, Mario, or Pokemon just came out. But for the most part I never see crowds of people around the video game section.
Also, the eShop and Amazon are a thing. I get all my games from Amazon.
At Best Buy and EB stores I never really see anyone looking at/hanging around Wii-U sections, but at Walmart I usually see people looking at Nintendo stuff.
Enjoy your inferior Digital 'visual' & audio quality and nothing physical to add in your real gaming collection you big bearenstain Bear booger. I'm all for digital when games are tiny like they are with 3DSWare or WiiWare, but retail titles? Nah, it just doesn't feel right. plus the step down in quality is a giant deal breaker. This holds true for digital bluray downloads, they look and sound like a** compared to the real discs.
AHHHH! now let me just lay back and soak up this stupidity

PS3 games look & sound worse via digital so i'd expect the same with Wii U releases, but i could be wrong. Either way, soak up that inferior quality my boy!
There! that should sort you out you blood sucking disc lover
lol. The quality is same regardless of digital or physical.
I see the same amount of people at the Nintendo section as I do the other gaming sections at the stores where I live: a few people. But at least Nintendo has the same amount as the others. I think I see more families checking out the Nintendo section, though, and more young adults at the ps3/xbox sections. And I never see anyone at the pc gaming section.
