UCraft Beta Price And Projected Beta Date Announced

Developer Nexis Games is looking to bring the Minecraft experience to the Wii U, but with lots of twists and turns. Many additions are coming to the game to make it less of a Minecraft-clone and more of a standalone game with Minecraft influences. Today the developer detailed some information on when gamers can expected this game, and how much it will cost.

Things are really moving along nicely so nicely that I am shooting for a PC and possible Wii U Beta release in July of 2015. The price to participate in the UCraft Wii U Beta will be $19.99 and buying the beta will also get you the full game once it?s released. UCraft is without a doubt one of the most amazing things to come out of Nexis to date and as time progresses it will get even better! Our goal is to constantly update the game with new ideas from our studio as well as add ideas and suggestions from the gaming community. UCraft is more than a game it is an experience! We look forward to sharing it with you all! Game On!

I don't like how developers think we the general public should pay to participate in betas. It used to be the other way around. It's a bad habit in the industry and it's like having a car salesman tell you that you need to pay to test drive a particular car you MIGHT be interested in. The feedback should be INVALUABLE so it should be free for us to beta test it. IF 20 dollars is getting the game at half price that might justify it but if the game will be 20 bucks regardless of beta or retail then that's not a good enough reason to pay to participate in a beta. Just my 2 cents and I'm not complaining about this dev specific but this particular situation and those like it.

Not to bring you guys down- this is just my opinion, but 20 dollars for a beta of this kind sounds expensive. Makes me worry the full game will be even more expensive.

Charging that for a beta? Heck, charging for a beta at all?

The Wii U™ Beta Will Cost $19.99 And You Get The Full Version With No Extra Cost When The Game Launches. So Please Keep That In Mind. It's Due For July 2015 And Hopefully It'll Be A Birthday Gift As Well.

Look buddy, i'm not ragging on you but I find it hard to justify paying for a BETA, when other developers have gone on to:
1)develop a beta and allowed it for free download
2)take in the feedback and adjust accordingly
3) release the game and even release a demo for those still on the fence.
4) Profit from their hard work

If this is because that kickstarter campaign failed and they're looking to make up for the cost then I'm sorry buddy. I feel for you and I wish you luck.

I think $20 is going to be a hard sell. $10 would be much easier to sell. Maybe it would help to know what features are in the game.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
