Not really surprised. It's to the point now that if you want to play 3rd party games you are going to have to either go with a PS4 or an Xbox One. Wii U is just for Nintendo games.

As sad as it is I can't say I'm really surprised but the lack of 3DS support from ALL western 3rd party studios is beyond me. EA said they would support the Wii U when the install base made sense but the last thing they made for the 3DS was a crappy port of FIFA 14, seeing as they can only manage sequels how about a sodding sequel to Henry Hatsworth you Drong-bats!! And what about the other's, the only ones who I could say are atleast trying on the 3DS are WB but the last Batman game was a bit divisive.... Sod it, looks like i'm going to have to fork out for a PS4 just so I can get the new Star Wars Battlefront and enjoy the crappy and buggy servers that EA love to provide (atleast the new Batman looks good)
It is not a crappy port
Fifa 12/13/14 are the exact same game with a roster update.
(Whereas PES 2013 is actually pretty damn good).

To be honest, unless Ubisoft shows off a new Rayman-game, I couldn't possibly give any less of a crap about what they're working on.
...Oh and BG&E2 as well, I suppose.
If they wont even show watchdogs for wiiu im guessing its cancelled.
I wouldn't guess that. They showed Watch Dogs for a couple of E3's now.
The game will already be out.
I see no indication or reason that they'll cancel the Wii U version.
Just not marketing it as usual.

Plus they already let people claim in-game rewards for Watch_Dogs in the U-Play App on Wii U
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I am extremely pleased this has happened. Ubisoft were a poison on the Wii U it is great they are finally gone
And people wonder why third-party developers have no interest in making games on Nintendo platforms. A major third-party developer who has shown strong support for a console pulls out, and fans are cheering?
What, are you also going to cheer when Activison pulls out as well? Then that will just leave Sega and Tecmo to help fill the massive game droughts that will likely happen.
How can Ubisoft leaving be a good thing? Even if you dislike their games, they still showed support to the Wii U. Now, this gives other third parties even less incentive to support the Wii U. And no, indies are not the magic answer either, especially since Sony is also making a huge push for them as well.
A major third-party developer walking away is a bad thing, especially since Ubisoft did try to show support to the Wii U.
here... let me help
1. assasins creed 3: super glitchy, took a week to get a patch, trilogy released on other systems at same price around launch
2. assasins creed 4: no dlc and no preorder bonuses
3. splinter cell: no local coop and very very bad gliches it took over two weeks to get a patch
4. zombi u: ok this was good
5. rayman legends: delays game and takes away exclusivity while promising extra features beyond game pad for our wait. give other consoles exclusive features as well.
6. marvel battle for earth: a hated game on kinect they port it to us without the motion controls making it even worse
7. raving rabbits: a shovelware series where even its fans think this is the worst
8. child of light: greaat dl game. refuses to give the wii u the dlc everyone else got and no preorder incentive or box like everyone else got
9. just dance games: fine from what i hear?
10. ghost recon: canceled
11. your shape 2013: lol
12. watch dogs: delay im going out on a limb here but predict no dlc or preorder bonus
13. have not supported the vc at all
14. no port of liberation and dl game for christ sakes
now i ask why would anyone with two consoles buy most of this on the u?????
you may not have two but most people do
i did my part. got asscreed three at launch and it froze my u twice i never played it again
it's funny how they blame all of the sales issues completely on ninty and how you blame u owners for not buying their work.
i baught child of light too and im still pissed about the dlc. it's a freakn download game. you can not tell me they would loose money on that.

Yes, hooray for less choice! After all, Ubisoft only released absolutely rubbish Wii U games such as Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed IV and ZombiU. Good riddance (sarcasm). Although considering you hate everything, you probably DO think those games are rubbish.
Rayman Legends sold over 300,000 copies on the Wii U. Whether or not you like their games, seeing a major publishing abandon Nintendo is not a good thing.
I do think those games are rubbish.
You are wrong that I hate everything though. (There are even the odd exceptions from Ubisoft - South Park / DS - Star Wars Episode 3 even the Dreamcast Rayman 2 I didn't mind).
I am not even against 3rd parties (Most of the Gamecube games I still play are from Sega or Capcom).
The main problem I have with Ubisoft is their stuff never works properly. (Framerate glitches / load times / uplay / Starforce) and their business practices of panicking and tanking the price straight away is ruining it for everybody else. (Which affects the availability of stuff I may actually want.)

Oh well. They tried. Guess it didn't work out. Same thing happened with Capcom 2 generations in a row. Now look at them. Are they even at E3?
Think so, there were rumors about RE 7 being revealed then.
RE7 will feature every character from the entire franchise in a leading role and introduce enemy zombie AI that use squad and cover tactics and drop ammo when they die.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
People seem to forget that Ubisoft released a new Wii U title less than a month ago. It's a bit obscure, but it was called Child of Light and was made by Ubisoft Montreal. You probably haven't heard of it, I suppose...
I do think it likely that we'll continue to see Ubiart games on the Wii U, however, and that's fantastic.

Well besides Valiants Hearts: The Great War, which for some reason is skipping the Wii U, even though it looks to be a very unique puzzle platformer set during WW1, it's not some mindless shooter or something along those lines.
