Wait so is the Cave of Shadows just the Cave of Ordeals, or is it an entirely new challenge dungeon? I really hope they didn't carve out a piece of the original game...
From what I understand, the Cave of Shadows is its own challenge area, whereas the Cave of Ordeals is still its own thing.
This goes to show that everyone spazzing out about it unlocking an actual dungeon should have waited for the true facts, instead of going crazy at unconfirmed rumors.
@Trinexx: well that would be the logical thing to do, and something the majority of us advocated doing. But no with this site nowadays, all it needs in one post on Neogaf and suddenly Nintendo are doomed, Zelda U is an NX game and yadayada...
Anyone about graphics? it seems they fixed wolf link a bit and it looks brighter and nicer too. Some textures are weird, but otherwise. it looks great to me

Where you looking at? I see almost no change to anything other than higher res textures.
I'm going to get this but it looks marginally better than the Wii version at best. It looks like all Nintendo did was run it through a bad emulator and added that new challenge dungeon. I haven't play this in 9 years so that's the main reason I want it. They seemed to do a much better job on Wind Waker and it really didn't need it. I'm not saying they should've went full in Final Fantasy 7 here but they could've done much better.

Still not particularly happy about it, but at least it actually takes advantage of the Amiibo's Read/Write functionality.

Well, it records your score to the Amiibo. Nintendo confirmed that in the video of Amiibo features.
That's sound like a forced use of amiibo rather than taking advantage of it.
I think the idea is that you can take your Amiibo to other people, and see if they can beat your score. I agree it's mostly forced usage, but if they are forcing me to use it to unlock content, I'd like to at least get some functionality out of the Amiibo.

@Spoony_Tech: well FVII was of course a PS1 game originally meant to be an N64 game with areas that can barley be called 3D, even I who hasn't played FFVII knows how outdated it is, at least as far as more modern exploration games go. Oh and it's being split up into episodes too so I'm glad that Nintendo aren't in the habit of taking inspiration from Square-Enix.
@Grumblevolcano: And by that time, the Wolf Link amiibo is discontinued, and you can only buy them from Nintendo..cough scalpers on eBay for $50. Brilliant!
