This seems to be 95% certain at this point so the thread henceforth commeceth.
What do people want to see in this? I want to see them put a lot of new stuff on Hyrule Field and I'd like to see the graphics made a bit more colourful (as they did with OoT and MM 3D). I've always liked Zelda more with a bit of colour.
Aww... man I thought it had been announced because I remember someone saying that they would open this thread were Twilight Princess HD to be announced
The NX is going to be delayed to Holiday 2017 you heard it here first, also It should be pretty obvious what my favorite game of all time is cough Skyward Sword cough

Where are you thinking the first 10 hours roughly gets to?
My only problem is with the intro up to the part where you get onto Hyrule field. It should never take 4 hours, or whatever it is, to get out into the world. Ocarina of Time did it in about 40 minutes.

I slightly agree but I feel the only part after the pre-Midna section that was too slow was the 2nd Twilight bug hunt thing (and even then, it wasn't THAT bad imo).
And after Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess's pacing is amazing by comparison.
I wouldn't mind this because I LOOOOVED Twilight Princess but Nintendo needs to not be Capcom, aka the company that only re-releases their old games anymore.

A load of BS! Twilight Princess's pacing wasn't only awful for the amount of time it took, but the amount of time it WASTED! What the heck was the point of luring a cat, using a bird, fishing, and herding goats...when you're only required to do half these things once in the game!

1) Twilight Princess has colors, they're just not so saturated as to look utterly plastic. What good is a HD version that destroys the art style of the game? None.
2) I totally disagree about the pacing of the game; I liked the first half more than the last few dungeons. Any good narrative game should take you on a journey and journeys have a greater sense of import when a starting place is established. For this reason I love the fishing puzzles—like the Bombers quest at the beginning of Majora's—because it sets the tone and revels in the smalls stuff. Moreover, the story is expertly directed, especially near the beginning of the game.
If you don't have the patience for a narrative game then don't play, much less replay, Twilight Princess.
If there was any part of Twilight Princess that could be improved it would be the city in the sky by fleshing it out as the home of the ooccoo. That temple and parts of Hyrule Castle feel a little bit sparse—like Super Mario Galaxy levels, not like part of the Zelda world.
Granted, this is all relative and Twilight Princess is still—by far—the best game ever made. All I really want in a remake is hero mode and perhaps a boss rush mode.
Things I would like to see:
1. Hero Mode - Since TP was my first Zelda game, the difficulty was just right for the time. Going back to the game now, I find it to be pretty easy. (Minus the Cave of Ordeals. I have beaten this legitimately and didn't learn about the Boomerang cheat for it until later.) Like previous hero modes, enemies should deal at least twice the amount of damage. Some things should also be subtly changed, like dungeon layouts, locations for collectibles, etc.
2. Upgraded graphics - Obviously this would happen with the move to HD, but I would also like to see upgraded textures and more fleshed-out environments.
3. More uses for dungeon items in the overworld - the main thing I'm thinking of here is the Spinner, one of my favorite items in the whole franchise. Outside of Arbiter's Grounds, it isn't really used a whole lot.
Actually, the only addition I really want is a third type of bokoblin riders. Horseback battles need to be plentiful in the overworld. That'd be 2 birds with one deku bubble.
At most, maybe they'll change something they felt was wrong about the original and refine some details, but they'll never add anything substantial to it.
I can't wait to see the Twili Sheikah Stones, though.
Edit: A hero mode might be possible, but chances are it will just remove healing and/or make the enemies hit harder.

I don't want them to change the art style to make it look like Skyward Sword. I just want maybe 10% more saturation. You can still go for a fairly realistic style whilst making it colourful. E.g The Last Of Us.

If they make the spinner tracks sparkle, so help me...

Kill me. I mean, for the love of god; Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess already have hint systems!

The HD will do that much to the color of the game. The problem here is not the viability of bright art styles, but rather the editing of preexisting aesthetics.
Twilight Princess already has an art style. It's over; done. Skyward Sword Ordon village retexturing no thank you. Editing the art style post release can only diminish what they created. Nine years ago.

I'm guessing you've forgotten how the game started. The problem wasn't that it was hard, the problem wasn't the length of the game. The problem was that you spend so much time early in the game doing what are essentially tutorials. I personally wouldn't have minded at all if Twilight Princess was twice as long a game as it was. The problem is that the pre-game game was probably about twice as long as it should have been.
Even if it did happen, it probably wouldn't look like the 2011 Zelda tech demo. That's why I think it won't happen. Otherwise, it would need GamePad support or motion + option, hero mode/master quest/mirror mode, extra dungeons like they said might happen for it on Wii...
Stuff like that. Zelda U will probably have DLC. Who knows.
