Gamestop isn't calling it a soundtrack, but rather a 'Sound Selection CD.'
The hell?
Sounds like a Smash situation where you're only getting a small selection of songs rather than MK8/SM3DW/ALBW where it stated soundtrack and included everything.
The NX is going to be delayed to Holiday 2017 you heard it here first, also It should be pretty obvious what my favorite game of all time is cough Skyward Sword cough
@NintyMan: That ask sounds target reasonable for the game and I'm glad they seem to want to work in that sorry of thing info the game but I do hope there is a hero mode for the game as well.
Using it allows you to access "Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast" and if you clear it while having the Giant Wallet, you get the "Bottomless Wallet" that can hold 9,999 rupees compared to the Giant Wallet's maximum of 1000 rupees. Link's health inside normal dungeons can be recovered by the amount of hearts you preserved in the exclusive dungeon. The Wolf Link amiibo can store import data between Twilight Princess HD and Zelda U.
As for other amiibo, Link and Toon Link fully replenish arrows, Zelda and Shiek fully replenish hearts, and Ganondorf makes you receive twice as much damage from enemies, which sounds like an added challenge.
The Wolf Link amiibo can keep a record of journeys, with numbers that can be saved to allow you to continue the adventure. Details are unclear for now, however.
Great, another feature locked behind an amiibo! I thought the large wallet was part of the regular upgrade, I guess not...
Also, does that mean that Hard Mode is locked behind the Ganondorf amiibo? If so, I'll happily wait for this game to hit a bargain price, because I can already play this exact same game on my GameCube and Wii.
They should make the whole game free but to unlock dungeons you'll need to tap the amiibo boss figure, the cast are blank models unless you tap the corresponding amiibo and you need to the master sword, shield etc amiibo to access the weapons.
To everyone that is worried about Hero Mode being locked behind Ganondorf: Hero Mode was already leaked through Amazon France, and will be available from the start, if that leak is anything to go by. So yeah. You don't need ganondorf to play it. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-01-14-zelda-twilight-p...
I know it's not mentioned in the article title, but it's there.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...
@DarthNocturnal: I would spread word about this game like crazy if that were an option. Especially if the Link and Zelda amiibos were unusable on the Hero mode.
Not sure if it's just my area but all of the LoZ Amiibo except Zelda became sorta rare there for a moment and they've restocked them a lot recently. They're selling slow. They also have the Animal Crossing and Splatoon ones all over the place too. It seems like a big amiibo push to sort of "advertise" the series/game with just one little feature in the actual game. Is the restock an actual correlation or just a coincidence? I work in Best Buy and I compulsively check the section every other day, and my other nerd friend who works next door at Target tells me what he sees too lol, plus I've checked other Best Buys since Olimar pops up in other stores but not mine. A Nintendo guy will come and give us stuff usually, or it'll come in the big truck when a new game releases so what do I know about restocking?
Yeah, it sounds like Hero Mode can only be unlocked through the Ganondorf amiibo, but we'll just have to wait for the full details to get released. These interpreted details sound kind of vague for now.
Hero Mode is available to every player. According to NeoGAF, Ganondorf amiibo will double the damage further in Hero Mode. So if vanilla Hero Mode is x2 damage, using Ganondorf becomes x4 damage.
Hero Mode + Ganondorf amiibo = Hero of All Time mode? Where even the wimpiest Keese hits with the force of an Iron Knuckle. =P
Well...if Hero mode and Ganondorf "stack" they'll need to release those stupid amiibo cards they promised us ages ago asap and if 'dorf == hero mode then that's just complete and utter bull.
A Keese with the potential to one-shot you sounds like the kind of challenge that would make Twilight Princess a hell of a lot more interesting for people like me, tho. (y'know..the lunatics who played the game a dozen times on both GameCube and Wii)
I'd be all over that.
Or, y'know, finish the game before announcing amiibo-locked on-disc DLC...
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
It was probably finished (well, the game content was) when they first announced the game. They're probably just beta testing. So.... wish granted?
Then it should have been released earlier. DLC should be made once all the physical release content is ready to be published. It's the same argument against Day 1 and On-Disc DLC, are we really defending this kind of practice?
Remember what Sakurai said about DLC in Smash Bros?
At the current time we have no plans. I consider my job at this point, and my main responsibility, to make the Wii U and 3DS versions the best and the fullest experience possible. That said, once finished, it's the type of thing we could take into consideration, but for now, you could consider DLC as not being in the cards.

Are people still attacking these practices? many people have explained why these things happen. Content lock for a product has to be locked months in advance of the actual completion of a game. Once that occurs what do you do with your teams that can't do anything for the product? They set them to work on DLC and extra content. This leads to extra content being ready on Day 1 or being on disc.
Amiibo generate money, money that is being used to generate extra content for these products. Without Amiibo, a lot of this content would either not be made or be released later as DLC anyways.
I use to think On Disc DLC and Day 1 DLC was terrible but with how fast paced the industry is now, if your game is out for a week it is already old news. That extra content keeps people playing and keeps your game relevant.
However, if you feel the base price for the product is not worth the amount of content it offers, then by all means wait for a price drop. No one is forcing you to purchase this content. More content for games we love is always good and I will take more content over mass layoffs (how things use to happen) any day.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
