Forgetfulness, not being aware of them or a machievelian desire to spread chaos.
If I worked for them, I'd deliberately slip in some really annoying bugs. Like if you don't herd all the goats fast enough, it resets your entire game. Mwah ha ha
@rishisquid: AFAIK, this glitch was fixed in the Wii's Nintendo Selects release. That's just something I heard, though, I have never played the Wii version.
Imo they haven't done enough to warrant a full priced game. This game at most should be 40$ with the Amiibo. I'll still enjoy it The same but I feel like I'm getting much less then I should be.
Interesting... So you don't think the original TP is a full-priced game? Do you think your money is only paying for the extras, and not the previous work that went into it (or the actual game itself)?
I'm guessing you already own the 2006 original - that isn't Nintendo's fault, and is actually irrelevant. Ten years later, there are loads of people who haven't played it, so why should it be released at a reduced price (regardless of extras)? Which it is, by the way... if anything, TP:HD is a bargain: a game, amiibo and soundtrack CD for almost the price of a regular game. And yes, I own the original. If I didn't, I'd be even more pleased...
Has it been confirmed which version of Twilight Princess this is based on? I'm assuming it's possible to switch between Gamecube and Wii - I've noticed Link is left handed in the footage I've seen, but it's been so long since I've played it, I can't tell if the world is flipped or not.

It's based on how much effort was put into it. It's a remaster, with the wii u being backwards compatible anyone can easily get a cheap wii disc version of it. The game was not remade from the ground-up, and is still easily available to those who really want it. Not to mention the precedent of many many other remaster -bundles- containing more than one game are often sold for $40-$50 on other platforms. I can certainly see why people would have an issue with the $60 price tag
But that's all subjective, I'm just explaining the opposing point of view.
Like you said, it comes with an amiibo and a soundtrack *if you preorder. Not everyone sees that as worth it, while some see it as a great value, and that's okay.

That is true for the Wii version but ultimately wrong for the GameCube version that now can be played in higher resolution with the GamePad. The GameCube version is even in second-hand form unbelievably expensive.

None of this argument works when the original Wii version still works on the same system.
You're not paying for the whole thing, you're paying for the extras and updates. Or you're paying the price of this game minus the price of a used copy of the Wii version anyway.

Yes, it is, if you haven't played it. But pay mind—it's not a soundtrack: it's a 'Sound Selection CD.' Whatever the hell that means.
If it's like any other bonus soundtrack I've gotten with a game, it'll be a few new versions of songs done with real instruments that sounds nice enough but you'll never listen to again. Which to be fair, Twilight Princess HD is the perfect game to do with considering how much people HATED that they didn't go all orchestra with the soundtrack at the time. (i begrudgingly admit Mario Galaxy a year later made me realize they had a point, even though TP's soundtrack is still great)
I actually still put on that album that came with Skyward Sword from time to time, as recently as last week. It's a fantastic little collection of arrangements.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I have all 130+ tracks of the TP midi on my iPhone.

@Octane: Used copies are around £60 for the GC version. For that you can get TP HD, Wolf Link amiibo and Ganondorf amiibo (the complete TP experience).
@Chandlero: @Grumblevolcano: I know, it was more a response to the idea that the GCN version was "unbelievably" expensive. I've seen certain games go for way more than €50, not saying it is cheap, but it certainly isn't €100 or anything like that.
@Octane: Okay. So we are all on the same track. I chose "unbelievably expensive" in contrast to the word "cheap wii disc".
By the way, it is very interesting that you can get the Wii version for 10€ while the GameCube version is more expensive than it was when it had released.
