Eh, there's a drought? I didn't notice, because I pay attention to the eShop, not to mention next month, I'll be busy playing that one really inappropriate game about making babies and sending your children to do half of your fighting for you. You know the one. Pikmin 3! (derp) But no, I mean Conception II, of course. And after that? I might play some Kirby, in between rounds of Sequence on my PC, Shovel Knight on my Wii U, and hyping over Smash 4 until Mario Kart 8 launches and I spend all of my time trying to get a friend from 200 miles away to play a match with me.

There's a drought or death of content when it comes to much more mainstream games. But when you pay attention to the ehsop and VC it isn't as bad. Its going to get worse once we hit may.

I'm not sure this will be the case with so many games coming out this year

Agreed. Just because we don't know what lays beyond May doesn't mean we aren't getting some new games, this Summer. E3 is normally in June, right? Don't you think we'll see some big titles there? Don't you think the inevitable Nintendo Direct next month will spill the bean on some titles coming in June or July? And I'd be utterly shocked, if we didn't start seeing a line-up similar to last Fall, this Fall. It's not gonna get worse so soon. Wait until late 2015 to jump that bandwagon, please.

I'm still catching up on three games that I have yet to beat, so my hands are tied. That makes me blue.

Then with Mario Kart 8 on the horizon, they keep stacking up.

I find it weird how people are saying that the 3DS is there helping the terrible Wii U schedule.

Guys, not everyone likes handhelds. I love them, lots do, but there are some people that just want to play games on a TV, especially in the west. I don't know how much VC is helping things, either, especially if you've already played those games on their original systems or on the Wii VC.

yeah there are many things I'll defend Nintendo on, but even though none of this stuff had a chance against Titanfall (honestly neither do any of Xbox One's recent titles, sadly), not having something retail before Mario Kart is pretty dumb. Only slightly below incredibly dumb, if only because the only recent release that would do decently on Nintendo (Strider) that I could see being on Wii U, is not on Wii U because reasons and because it isn't like having Thief or Strider would change anything about the console's success (honestly VGChartz says it's still doing better every week than it did on average last year (not saying much) despite nothing coming out in over a month).

I just keep playing older Wii games during this "drought" (my drought is not having the money to buy all of the games I want.,.. XD). I just got Darksiders 2 and Nano Assault Neo today on sale (eshop), and I plan on getting Pikmin 3, Sonic Lost World, Deus Ex, etc. The only reason people say there is a drought is to try and keep the negativity on Nintendo. You either focus on the games you are not getting and get a PS4/XB1 or focus on the games you are getting and fill in the gaps between major releases with Eshop Games, Indie games, and/or Wii games.

Yeah, the Wii U is lacking in games. Oh well, I guess you might as well just take the games that are out slowly until the Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. addictions kick in.

Hopefully Nintendo will reveal more than three new Wii U games during E3.

It's, uh, it's… true. 😈 More like one year, though, to me, and even then I'm just kind of assuming that Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon is worthwhile; I haven't cared to play it.

EDIT:

Or because there is. I don't care, because I wouldn't buy all those games anyway. I'm just glad Nintendo has any games that I want, unlike the other two in their current states.

Meh. All the consoles are looking pretty barren.

This is basically why I am so confused about the PS4's Sales Figures.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

At least X is coming. I might go PS4 next gen though. Nintendo has never been in this level of badness before (even the Gamecube was better off). They'll survive, but things are looking dim. It's a quality niche system, better than the Ouya no doubt, but it's not what I want most (and no, I'm not some generic gamer, fanboys). I can get lots of indie games on my PC & I have a 3DS for some of the Nintendo exclusives. Few exclusives to be had, though they are really good; Sony's starting to look more appealing. Nintendo can't even bother to get unified accounts up & running, & no, partial, segregated, anchored accounts on the 3DS don't count. I love their games, but with other exclusives on a better-supported system that has a better infrastructure, it's hard to go Wii U for me. I'll praise them for what they do right (games, shop, innovation), but they're not immune to criticism. They need to get a little more 3rd party support (please don't go on one of those close-minded "all 3rd parties are EA devils" rants again) as well as real accounts to persuade me to go with them. Ubisoft tried, but with little support, having no choice but to delay Rayman to let Microsoft allow it on the 360 so they could get their money back, boycotts, & their hands full, I can see why they're prioritizing the PS4 over the Wii U by choosing to delay the Wii U version instead. Support 3rd party devs like Ubisoft & Criterion when they try for you; don't boycott them. Whether you like it or not, the truth is this was partially brought upon the Wii U base by some of its owners' fanboyism. That and the Wii U like any new system is long and a bit harder to develop on due to larger games.

If nothing else, I do agree that some Nintendo fanboys need to disappear from the internet, if not society as a whole. Well that's true for every fanbase but still...
