Characters that are Assist Trophies in this game have a zero chance of becoming a fighters. Characters trophies have slightly higher chance of becoming a fighter.

I voted for Hector from Fire Emblem.. now I know there are too many Fire Emblem characters in the game (even though I love the series there are still too many). But he's an axe user which will be awesome to have someone not use a sword or gun for once!
Also my dream vote would be Vyse but I really can't see that happening in a million years
Seriously? Solid Snake? He hasn't even been on a Nintendo console since the Gamecube (barring the 3DS port).
I'm gonna be really distraught if our one chance to vote in a character is wasted on Solid Snake. He's been in Smash before! Here's a novel idea- vote for someone who HASN'T been in Smash and maybe whose games are actually ON Nintendo consoles!

Thank you for saying what has been on my mind since the Direct a few days ago. I've read so many unreasonable character requests, it's just mind blowing.
Whatever, I haven't voted myself yet. But I'll probably vote for Wonder Red. Wonderful 101 is an amazing Wii U exclusive game and Platinum Games has brought 3 amazing action games to the Wii U that they deserve to have a character in the game.
I really think that Wonder Red would fit perfectly into this game both combat-wise and visually.
His moveset could be something like: B - Unite Gun, Forward B: Unite Claws, Down B: Unite Guts, Up B: something like Unite Glider or Rocket, the smash attacks could be Unite Fist attacks and his Ultra Smash could be the Platinum Robot firing a laser.
There are probably better ideas for a moveset, those were just my ideas.

That's not what I'm saying. With this ballot up, I'm sure every bigwig in the industry is going to get fans tweeting them a link and yes, pretty much everyone is going to say "yeah, that'd be cool." Because it is. It's very cool to have your character in Smash. It's also business, and Phil Spencer is a business man. So "business man wants to do profitable thing that is also cool" isn't really big news in my opinion.

I don't think the situation is as simple as that though because I'm pretty much Nintendo wouldn't have been legally able to release the DKC trilogy and DK64 on Wii U VC without Microsoft's consent despite the Donkey Kong franchise being owned by Nintendo. Of course if the N64 Banjo games get released on Wii U VC then we know for a fact it's not a businessman type decision because essentially that's saying "Don't buy an Xbox One, get a Wii U instead".
There is no such thing as bad publicity. Building up hype for Banjo (for free I might add!) is building up hype for a Microsoft IP. They are probably just using it as market research into how popular a new Banjo game would be and I don't think the game would be released on Wii U lol.

I'm actually in the middle of tallying all of the votes myself. I'll let everyone know who wins here. Though, it's really ambiguous, sometimes you can't tell whether you're actually voting for someone or not. Also, a lot of people voted for multiple characters, so I split their votes up, and people who voted for more than four characters were ignored. Also, it's also impossible to tell if someone had voted already. At any rate, I'll let you guys know who the winners are when I'm done, at least with my system. Solid Snake is currently 3rd.
