very easy. but they aren't going to release all of their Wii VC N64 games in quick succession. so we have to wait until whenever Nintendo decides its time to give it to us.

I kind of get what you're saying, but isn't there a risk of going too far in the other direction? I.e., if Nintendo waits too long to release popular games on the Wii U VC, people may stop caring...i.e., they shouldn't sit on SF64 forever?
The 3DS version doesn't matter. Nintendo should keep releasing VC games even if a better version exists on a newer console. I'd also want and would download Majora's Mask on Wii U despite already owning the 3DS version. I already downloaded Majora's Mask and Star Fox 64 on the original Wii, so both will be very cheap for me to port over to Wii U.
that's mental, dude. why do you want to own the same game so many times?
Because its only £1.79 to transfer downloaded Wii VC games to Wii U. I can afford that easily even though I do own the same games on 3DS. I don't own Star Fox 64 3D though.

Now that it's released and on sale, has someone already played it?
If so, does it offer motion controls like the 3DS version?
If so, I'd consider buying it since costs only 5€ right now.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!

Most likely not, since it is just the Virtual Console release. but I don't have it on Wii U, so I cannot 100% confirm that
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
@shani: Not a chance. Virtual console games are just emulated versions of the originals — they offer perks like customized control schemes, off-TV play, upscaled resolution and save states, but they don't alter the content of the original game.
Well, it would be nice to play Star Fox 64 HD on Wii U if they ever made it. They should also include the original SNES game on the same disc / download, again with the graphics of Star Fox Zero.
