@Jorjaymad-6715: Nice run we went on at the end there.I was down to A-0 ,I was sure I was going to rank down but only lost 8 pts and hung on.Then we won 4 or 5 in a row.

@Kinan: Yeah it still forces the enemy to use more ink, so if you're lucky he runs out of ink or something. I have to correct myself, earlier I called it useless, but that's not entirely true, I just wanted to point out that it doesn't have such a big effect (compared to other abilities) and that the effect is capped.
However, if you're really going for defense, I would recommend having Ink Resistance on your shoes. It got a bit nerfed with the 1.3 update but the difference is still noticable. I tried playing without Ink Resistance for a few days recently and I got splatted faster than before. Then when I put my InkRes shoes back on, i immediately could tell the difference. The important thing is: If you're standing in enemy ink and/or are covered (a bit) in enemy ink, it's easier to splat you because the enemy ink on your body adds to the damage your enemy inflicts by shooting at you. So the enemy needs to shoot less ink for a kill. But with ink resistance, he needs more shots for that.

@Kinan: Definitely. There are many ways to success anyway. And I actually find it very interesting to see which ways everyone takes, which gear, playing style etc.

I also tried Stealth Jump instead of InkRes for a while but it didn't really do much for me. I still got splatted after superjumping, so I instead decided to just superjump less/more carefully (although sometimes I fall back into old habits). I only sometimes replace my InkRes shoes with the Red Sea Slugs (Special Saver).
I usually only superjump now if all three teammates are at one spot, or I superjump to our sniper, who usually sits in a safe position or to a beacon, because those have to be in safe positions.
