@Nicolai: I tried my best too; I'm usually the Tri-Slosher, but with the stages being Port Mackerel and Hammerhead Bridge, short range would be a huge disadvantage. The Dual Squelcher is my second favorite weapon, but I haven't used it in a while, so I was a little rusty with it. Sorry about your rank, hopefully you'll be able to bring it back up soon. Thanks for playing!
@Blue_Blur: I've always used the Custom Squelcher, which is slightly longer-ranged, but doesn't fire as rapidly. I see way more people online using the Dual Squelcher, though, and in the higher ranks, I've often found that players can usually escape before I get them by surprise, so I've been thinking of switching. What do you think?
@Nicolai: Well, I've always preferred the Dual Squelcher because it has the little faster fire rate. But subs and specials are also factors that you should think about. I find the burst bombs on the Custom Squelcher almost useless, since the range is so great. I used to use burst bombs all the time with the original Slosher, since the range of that weapon isn't too great. The burst bombs helped me get the players just out of reach. With the Custom Squelcher though, being the longest ranged weapon in the game, I don't think burst bombs are a good match for the weapon. The Kraken is great, though, one of the best specials in the game!
Personally, I love the Dual Squelcher and the Custom Dual Squelcher, since I think the sub and specials are great for ranked battles. It has long range, and with the Dual Squlecher, splat bombs come in handy a lot. For the Custom Dual, Squid Beacons are very useful in Tower Control and Splat Zones; the Killer Wail isn't a very good special, though, at least in my opinion, for Splat Zones.
So, with all that being said, I would recommend either one of the Dual Squelchers. It takes four hits to splat someone, but if your looking for a weapon that can kill in three hits, then try the Splattershot Pro. It has the same range as the Dual Squelchers, but fires less rapidly. Hope this helps!
I started playing again and then went on like a 7 win streak. I finally made B+ rank with 42 points. Quitting now for real before I ruin everything and fall back down.

I wish I would've had your wisdom on several occasions, where I continued playing after a long winning streak despite tiredness, because I just couldn't or didn't want to stop. After that, I lost everything and then some (last time, from B 55 to B- 32).
Who knows where I would stand today if I had your wisdom in those moments.
@Blue_Blur: That's interesting. I've always used the Burst Bombs for when someone sneaks up in me, since the Custom Squelcher itself can't beat anyone close range.
@Jazzer94: Does that mean that if we're a squad of 3, it will tell us up with a squad of 4 without setting us up with someone? That's too bad. If someone else wants to join me in their squad, though, let me know.
