Topic: Splatoon - OT

You've been Wii U friends with me for about a year, have I ever not been bitter at Nitnedo? I mean for more than 5 minutes at a time, I do have my happy moments.

But yeah, E3 ended for me when Reggie said "NX" in the NDE. I really wanted Wii U to come back from the grave like 3DS did, and Spaltoon seemed to be the CPR that it needed, but then Reggie pulled the plug. The cancelled Spaltfest was just them peeing on the casket. I like my Wii U, I want to see it given some proper respect, not just the promise of amiibo it will never have and whatever that ACaF free or maybe not free thing is. I'm insulted for the Wii U.

Curious to see if the map unlock speed will slow down after the 10th map has been unlocked, since there is so much other content in the current version that hasn't been unlocked yet.

That skyscrpaer 1 path level reminds me of swords adn soldiers, you just keep sending out your guys and hope you can over come the other guys. Might really suck, or it could be really exciting, but it's different, different is good. I remember during the beta testfires where I thought rollers were OP, now I just hope they aren't on my team.

Is the August update all stuff that is not currently on the disk? Obviously the maps and the two new ranked modes appear to be.

Good to know Nintendo is actually still working on some content instead of it all simply being on disk.

Also, those text messages are pretty bad. I've got 'To Me!' and 'Nice!'. You can't customize them. That's a missed opportunity.

Any such customization would need to be made from a fixed list (like the comments in MK8), since they should need to work in any translation of Splatoon.

The hacker that revealed the future unlocks apparently said there are 2 other future ranks available as well.

What do you guys think is the best weapon in the game?

Ranked Battles: Kelp Splatterscope. That thing's pretty boss. I have been switching to my Turf War weapon recently... don't know why.
Turf Wars: Aerospray MG. Rapid fire, powerful, and is Inkzooka-ready. And the special fills up quite fast, too.

I just want to say this; You don't run around with a charger. You have to... er... set camp. Do not hesitate to retreat if you are under attack.

Best Weapon? After trying all the weapons for turfwar, I STILL do best with Splattershot Jr.! Well-rounded, and you can be invincible for your special.
