Am I the only one who thinks the gamepad does NOT hurt? Not even if you play three hours in succession?
Do you use motion controls? I've found that my wrists tend to get sore after playing for awhile and one of my friends said the same. Although it may not happen to everyone I suppose.
How come no one is talking about how Splatoon motion controls should be the future of FPS games. Sorry for the hurt wrist players, but imagine if something as light as the Wii U Pro Controller had motion controls.
The amount of sensitivity and accuracy is just really great. I've always thought pointer controls were great aside from the fact that the dead zone and aim box issues really hampered the experience on the 2D plane of just your television. But this motion hybrid in Splatoon really feels intuitive, responsive, and easy to master.
Or maybe I'm just crazy because I've never been too good with traditional twin sticks.

You're not alone. I normally play long session with no problems. Then again I can also play Kid Icarus Uprising the same way with no injuries.
I guess it's based on the person's hand strength and endurance?

Now that I think about it and read other post, do people move the Gamepad with their wrist or with their arm? It could explain the strain on the wrist with excessive tilting.

Twin sticks suck which is why I hate playing the Dojo with my son. The person with the pro controller is at a high disadvantage.
Love the set up here and would love to see it going forward as well!

I doubt many other company's are just gunna hop on aboard the motion controls train for shooters especially not for a long time anyways especially since they are going to start aiming for virtual reality at this point and not all people are great with motion controls for me for example, my hands are always shaking because i inherited tremors from my parents and worst of all they are in my hands so motion control aiming is pretty bad for me.

I think its more to the point of getting used to it. For me i play kid icarus nonstop for hours on end and it hurt my wrists so badly but i kept playing which is bad but meh i sticked with it and no longer hurt anymore so in time people might just build up a resistance to it and become used to it.

I don't suppose anyone has any tips for making more money in the game? I'm making sure to see the cat when I'm on a hot streak but it's not making me enough.
I'm after snails so I can add abilties to the clothers I actually like.

If you can do well in ranked battles, you get more money for winning the higher your rank is. (Although there is the risk of not getting anything)
The first time you do amiibo challenges they give you quite a bit too
Maybe I'm not far enough in yet (I'm rank 8), but how do you get snails and upgrade gear and stuff? One of the reasons I got the game at launch was because it seemed good to get it early and get involved in things like the Cat Vs. Dog competition coming up to win a snail, but I have yet to see any and wouldn't know they exist except for that Nintendo Direct or whatever mentioned it. And the cat never tells me anything useful, is there more to him than I know of?

You can buy snails from the drug dealer guy once you reach level 20 (and they cost 30k for one!), they wil add another abiltiy to lower star gear and reroll the sub abilties of existing gear.

How's Splatoon for all of you? I don't have Splatoon right now but the best time for me to get it is in August because friend matches.
Why? Splatoon is not a traditional TPS. It can be treated as a traditional TPS, but then you will loose just about everything that the game is about.
Nintendo unlocks content gradually now, so everyone can slowly learn and adapt playing styles to how the game evolves. It's a game with pretty simple rules but it's also a very deep and balanced game, with endless variations on how to approach the gameplay.
Personally, I think it's a fantastic and extremely addictive game. I've played close to 50 hours now, and I'm still only on the surface of what the game can offer.

Ok, thanks. I haven't done much with him (or her?) since I haven't really focused much on the gear yet in order to save my money for weapons, and all I can do with Spyke right now is order clothes from the people I see in my plaza. But I guess it doesn't matter since I won't be level 20 for a very long time yet.
