@channynkimberly: That looks pretty neat! Did you play the music yourself, too? @Platina: Yeah actually, apart from the L-3 Nozzlenose D, nothing changes for me, but of course for my enemies who use those other weapons. ^^

@shani thank you very much A friend of us composes the music! If you like our videos please subscribe to our channel. We will do much more high quality animation!
@PikminFan22: I've only tried out the N-Zap '83 briefly so far. I hadn't played with Point Sensors for a long time and first had to get adjusted to not having bombs at your disposal.
I gotta say, several weeks ago, I thought if there was a mode with double special (similar two double ultra combo in Ultra Street Fighter IV, where you could use both combos but the effect was only half as strong), a mix of Echolocator and Kraken would be deadly.
Too deadly, that's why I thought Point Sensors + Kraken wouldn't be possible either. Now they even come with a high-firerate gun, so I'll probably try it out more often.

@PikminFan22 Yeah it didn't feel that OP for me either, that's probably because you can only throw one Point Sensor before turning into the Kraken. ^^ But I made the most of it and extended the range of the Sensor with 1 main 1 sub, that did have an impact (e.g. in the shooting range, I can mark two dummys instead of one from the "spawn point").
Yeah a double-special mode could be interesting, but only if there's a way too keep it balanced, probably by restricting the combinations (no bubbler + Kraken ).
I've gotten pretty familiar with the Kraken by now (mainly because of the Custom Jet Squelcher but also the L-3 Nozzlenose D), once there was a time when I hated that special. ^^

Maybe it's just me, but did any of you notice that the weapon/gear equip sound effects are a little different now? (from the equip menu, not the stores)
Nintendo should probably thought a bit harder about giving a range blaster burst bombs, the thing is silly with some stacked damage after a bit of testing I was consistently going double digits in ranked.
I played some turf war with the new Aerospray, and I really liked it! Obviously I still need to test it in ranked, but it suits my playstyle quite well and compliments my gear very well. Still need to play a bit with the new N-Zap so I can decide what'll be my new main.

The next Japanese splatfest has been announced and it is based on the Japanese snack by Meiji called Kinoko no Yama and Takenoko no Sato.
These are basically biscuits/cookies that are covered in chocolate and made to look like mushrooms/bamboo shoots.
Has anyone tried the new N-Zap '83 with Tower Control?
I guess detecting enemies before they reach the Tower and having the Kraken for those crucial seconds could come in handy, right?
I haven't played TC for a while now, maybe I'll set up an alt account.
Well, this weekend's Splatfest was a disappointment.
I wish they would've stuck to the global Splatfests, unlike the previous two times it was actually difficult to find enough players for a match during the late hours. And not just a few times, but quite often.
Also, the global Splatfests lasted longer, which was a huge plus.
Only 24 hours duration and barely enough playersjust aren't satisfactory, not after the last two Splatfest were so much better. I don't get why they went back to regional Splatfests after they already had found the right formula...
@Pikmin22 haven't heard of any yet so maybe there isn't one announced yet. I assume it would be announced next weekend though since Japan's was announced a few days ago.
@shani well I assume it may be because they sometimes want different themes which may apply more to different regions. Plus Japan's latest one is a sponsored splatfest which involves a Japanese snack which probably wouldn't work that well in Europe.
I certainly wouldn't mind more of them though.
@Kazuo Ah that makes sense of course.
But apart from these few region specific themes (mostly Japanese brands if I remember correctly), I think pretty much all theme sapply to the whole world. For example traveling the world vs. traveling Space. :
Well and regional Splatfests are really predictable sometimes... I had two matches against my own team, that hadn't happened for a long time (because of the global Splatfests or because I was in the winning team) and I instantly knew Team Space would lose. Why is it like a law of nature that the team with more votes automatically loses? That way you always get spoiled about the Splatfest result...
@shani it isn't always confirmed though, several Japanese ones ended with a majority win. On squid boards, I've seen people saying it is just something to do with Japan though and that other regions always have the popular team lose haha.
I believe it was in the previous splatfest (onigiri from 7 Eleven) where I faced my own team, I think you are almost guaranteed to face your own team at least a few times if you have a majority by even a few percent.
Apparently World had the majority it seems and also won

That's my point, that doesn't seem to happen in global Splatfests, at least from my experience. I was on Team Pokemon Blue (the other two global ones I was on the minority team), which had 64% of the votes, and I never had to face my own team.
Also, the issue of not finding enough players only occured during European Splatfests so far (for me).
To be honest, I just don't think the userbase is big enough to have regional Splatfests, especially now that the number of active players seems to be declining.

Oh, I just realized that when I launched Splatoon and saw the results again.
This means I have played two matches against my own team despite it being the less popular one?!
Oh and I should've chosen traveling the world, because then I would've gotten the title of world champion.
