Topic: Splatoon - OT

Playing right now if anybody is interested in joining me !

I've never played in Squads but I want to try it.

Luckily, the game started to "click" again very fast and after a very good weak I made it to S Rank!

I side with Team Fancy this Splatfest. You poor, uncultured souls.

But it's too bad that I will be gone for the whole weekend so I won't even get to play!

I love when my team is yellow. It's the banana laffy taffy flavor.

I think of the inklings not using ink, but instead, smoothies or liquid candy.

@Lycidas: Nice one,congratulations.I'm still on the quest to reach S.I reached A+55,just a couple of weeks ago then a spectacular collapse saw me fall down to A- 0,hung on by the skin of my teeth.I'm a couple of wins away from getting back to A+ now.I am determined to reach S before May 30 when the game will be 1 year old.

@OorWullie: Good luck with that. I'm not sure I'm the person to help but I do always have fun. Those disconnects last time killed you though.

I'm at 69/100 at S rank, THIS IS THE MOST I HAVE EVER REVVED UP, I NEED TO GET S PLUS SO I CAN SHOW MY MOM, AND I CAN HANG MY GRADE ON THE FRIDGE, AND I WILL GET TO GO TO GAMESTOP AND PICK OUT A GAME!!!

Maaaan, they could really change up the rotation a bit! Recently I really like playing RM, not so much SZ (as I have played it too much in the months before) and avoiding TC completely (for now, that is).
However, RM seems to be running almost exclusively during daytime. In the evening it's usually SZ or TC and then after midnight, when the new day begins, it starts with SZ or TC again.
The few times where RM was in the evening/night rotation I was out with friends or they were visiting me, so no time to play Splatoon. I'm probably wrong, but it seems to me like RM is rarely even on the rotation right now. It's more like TC-->SZ->TC->SZ->RM->TC->SZ...

Exactly my thoughts! Oh, that reminds me, I still have to pick the actual team lol.

Seems like I do best on Rainmaker and TC, since those two made me rank up.

@shani: Yeah; I thought it was just me but Rainmaker does not seem to appear in the rotation as often as it used to right now. I've since warmed up to Splat Zones though; with moderate success.

@DreamyViridi: And it's the same again. ^^^
SZ till midnight (CET), TC till 4:00 and then SZ...

I've come to enjoy Rainmaker, Tower Control and Splat Zones all. They're all equally fun to me now.

So this happened to me in ranked earlier today.

Miyamoto thought there was "no appeal" to Splatoon at first.

What's the point of posting articles that are from before the game was even released?

Can't access the Iwata Asks at the moment for some reason, but IIRC it was the objections from Miyamoto and others early on (during the tofu/rabbit phases) that transformed Splatoon to the game it is today.

@jariw: The article isn't from before the game was released, it's part of the cover story of the current issue of Edge.
edit: Oh wait, now I see it's from April 2015. Strange, I found it on the main page of Edge in my bookmarks. Seems like they haven't updated that page for a long time. I assumed it was from April 2016, my bad.

I already knew from the Iwata Asks that there was a lot of scepticism at Nintendo about Splatoon until they let a few test players play it and when Miyamoto & Co. saw that the game sparked an emotional reaction from the players - apparently a standard that every Nintendo game has to fullfill - they changed their stance on Splatoon.

But the detailed statements from Miyamoto that were mentioned in the Edge interview were new to me.

Miyamoto be wrong, so he is obviously terrible at making games obviously
