I normally use the regular octobrush (even tried using beakons a couple times on accident haha), but the hue works pretty nice too. Took out their whole team with the Inkzooka at the end there too!
Thanks for the matches!
I'm probably going to go back to Fates. I haven't been playing that as often as I've been wanting to recently.
@yokokazuo: I know this takes some time, so no immediate request or something, but could you maybe translate it (or some of it) some time?
And BTW I thought you would be good with the Hydra since you're so good with the 3K. I'm still not good enough with chargers and should probably use the Mini Splatling, but the Hydra is my favourite because of the long shooting duration. Because of the lack of mobility, I thought it would be great as a sniper weapon - at least I've seen other players using it similarly to the 3K.
My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!
@shani I haven't used Splatlings very much at all so I think it will at least take some getting used to. I think I need to learn more on where I should stand when firing it and to be farther back more. Maybe I will make an alt account so that I can get some more practice as I make my way up through ranks. At the same time though, I feel like doing so might be a little unfair with lower ranks since I think I could probably win most C rank matches easily and maybe B as well.

Yeah that's what I think about creating an alt account too (thought about creating one several times), since all the accumulated experience still gives you an edge over them, no matter what weapon you chose.
I tried the Hydra a few times myself and it's really challenging because of the weight of the weapon and also because of the long charging duration. But on the plus side, you don't need to charge for long to make a single splat. But I was always in the wrong spots or got splatted before reaching the sniper spots. I'm just not an experienced sniper so I assumed you would know better than me where to stand etc.
Oh yeah while reading that manga, I had to think back to many play sessions where I was half-distracted during matches because I was eating food while respawning etc. ^^
@shani: Sometimes I try to get a piece of biscuit or bread in between respawns. More hectic than you think it is.
But then I had to use the Quick Respawn ability to get to my beacons (Custom Jet Squelcher) faster... so I had to put my days of running to the kitchen and getting a biscuit behind me (I still do it sometimes lol).
@shani: Sometimes I try to get a piece of biscuit or bread in between respawns. More hectic than you think it is.
Hehe that's the same I did/do sometimes.
Pretty hectic, yes, but sometimes I found the right size of portion to eat between getting splatted and respawning. ^^
@shani I have tried using the hydra in some sniping areas, but I'm not completely sure how to use it. It isn't as accurate and you need multiple hits to kill so it can take longer to splat someone from a distance. And yesterday I couldn't do much since an enemy charger would constantly take me out. I do think it can be useful for covering splat zones at least.
Now I'm hungry for curry haha. I always like to keep my controllers and handhelds clean so I never eat when playing and wash my hands before every play session to avoid fingerprints.
@TheXReturns: Aah, I haven't noticed so far, but now you said (well, kinda) it, you're right, it didn't show up for a long time!
As for private battles, sure, I'd like to play you! I still have to add a lot of NL Splatoon players, though I feel the need to warn you: On a bad day, I'm pure rubbish. XD
Like today, Kelp Dome, Rainmaker. I'm on the grids, focused on an enemy slosher, see an Inkling walk towards me, and thinking it's one of my team, I make some space to let him through. Less than ten seconds later, we've lost and I realized my mistake. First time that happend, hopefully also the last, as it was quite embarrassing. ^^'

@Lycidas I'm definitively going to be on at 4pm GMT this weekend, setting up some private battles in lieu of the postponed tournament (Which IS still happening, it's just been pushed back into the holidays). I'll add you when I'm next on, as it's always good to have everyone who's regularly on here, so I can leap straight in without worrying about friend requests.
And we've all made our fair share of dumb mistakes. In an S ranked Mahi Mahi Rainmaker game, I splatted all the opponents, picked up the rainmaker, misjudged my jump, and fell straight into the water. XD
@TheXReturns: Kinda reminds me of the time when @yokokazuo and I were in a twin squad and I kept falling into the water in Mahi Mahi Resort for some reason. Got 10 deaths when I was only supposed to get like 3 or 4...
The first time I fell into the water was a complete accident; I was trying to splat an opponent while strafing backwards and I didn't notice there was a pool of water behind me. OK, so oops on that one. The rest... well, seems I suddenly had some love for water.
@Vee_Flames haha I remember that. I think the place I usually fall into the water is near where I usually snipe from, if I mess up my jump I sometimes keep going and accidentally fall into the water below.
@yokokazuo: LOL, sometimes when I'm trying to run away I forget that I tend to stand on one of those metal grates directly above the water, so I try to turn into squid form and BAM. Instant death. Luckily I've seen it happen to the opponents I try to splat so I guess it's not just me.
I love Mahi Mahi Resort, but ugh.. too much water.
@Vee_Flames ... 7.8/10? Haha
I feel like I've made that joke before...
Would you be up for a couple of squad battles?
Never mind, I just started to get some disconnects for some reason. Already lost some points because of it... My internet seems to have suddenly slowed down a lot.
@Yokokazuo@Vee_Flames Huh. Despite being a roller user, Mahi Mahi's one of my favourite maps, along with Moray Towers, which again, makes no sense for a roller user. But Mahi Mahi's water everywhere makes it a whole lot more difficult to camp on it. And I enjoy the idea of it changing paths midmatch. It's such a clever idea, and one that's matched in some regards by another of my favourite maps, Camp Triggerfish, with the whole idea of changing it up half way through.
I love getting the rainmaker, firing off a shot, desperately pushing the stick forwards, and going straight in the drink behind you though.
