Has anyone experienced an alignment issue with your Pro Controller? I'm having glitches similar to the N64 days, where the L Stick is unmoved but the cursor is going bonkers. Any tips on how to remediate this?

It happens to me from time to time, but only when I start the system. Just restart the system, and it should go back to normal.

Press the home button and pair the controller again, and make sure you're not touching the sticks when you do so, that should fix it.

Yep, I've seen that with even the old Classic Controller and Smash. I like the ability to re-pair controllers like that without quitting a game.

There's a way to reset the cursor/sticks or whatever if it's moving by itself. +,-,A, and B all at the same time for 3 seconds. Fixes it in a jiff. It's akin to unplugging the wired controllers and plugging them back in, in the old days

I re-paired the controller. Thanks guys

@Operative I'll try that next time. Unpairing and re-pairing seems like a hassle in the middle of a game.

Well this should be a rare occurrence, unless something is wrong with the controller. Something that I've had work in the past is re-calibrating the analogue stick positions by pausing the game and doing a full 360-degree rotation on each stick. This applies to anything: Nunchuk, CC, etc.

Generally I've only had miscalibration issues when I've accidentally rested a stick against something during a game or level load, so I've gotten in the habit of rotating the sticks during those transition periods.

Yeah this is def an issue with the stick not being at the zero location when pairing.

It actually wasn't, oddly enough. It was working fine. I was playing Smash with friends, and in the middle of the match, it went haywire. I didn't use it touch it for a month, and then when I played Smash again with over 4 players, I pulled it out and the same problem occurred.

Re-pairing it worked... but I don't know what caused it in the first place.

It happens often to mine. It's not a big deal, in my opinion. Googled the +-AB trick and was able to fix it every time it happened. It would be interesting to find out what causes it, though

Probably a fault in the controller firmware or something - just not enough to be a constant problem. I've certainly never had that happen with my pro controllers.
