Smash Bros character, maybe.

Considering it's Reggie and it doesn't involve anyone from Japan I don't think it'll be anything that will make us go O_O "OMG that's so f***ing amazing!!!" I doubt it'll be anything new that we knew nothing about.

we should keep our expectations low for this one, i highly doubt they'll announce something huge at such an event

I'd like to think it's going to be something a bit more exciting than just a new character reveal for Smash Bros. That's hardly gonna cause any earthquakes of excitement.

A whole new trailer with multiple character announcements on the other hand..

you know.. i've been way too optimistic about such events in the past
it's always been a letdown in the end

obviously i'd love for many great things to be announced..... New Super Smash Bros. infos/new character, release date for the new Tomb Raider, new Uncharted information, Zelda Wii U trailer and lots of other great things...
and if i were to go completely nuts, i'd be hoping for Warcraft 4, a new Settlers + HoMM game, Half-Life 3, a new Baldur's Gate + Aoe + Anno game, SimCity getting bigger cities, a new Battle Realms game, Banjo-Kazooie remake for 3DS (or Nintendo buying the IP from microsoft), new Turok game coming to Wii U, etc.
i could do this all day long, but in the end none of that will be announced =)

Maybe it'll be a new trailer for "X" or Bayonetta 2. Those are the only Wii U exclusives that I really see getting the dudebros' attention.

We have already seen and know a lot about Titanfall and the Witcher 3, and I doubt anything beyond some CGI is shown for the new Tomb Raider game, if that.

That's why I don't think Nintendo will reveal anything we haven't seen before. It will likely be more footage from X.

I'm starting to think it's the final playable character in Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. I hope I'm wrong.

Think its key to remember where this is being shown, which to me thinks its either a Power house like Zelda or perhaps Bayonetta 2,maybe Metroid, or just Super Smash Bros .

This is one of the largest game events for game reveals of the year. More new games get shown here than at Comic Con, and all the other events Nintendo goes to besides E3.
Expect a new I.P, and a less likely chance of a new Zelda.

Take a pick:
1) Zelda teaser, title, artwork, a short trailer perhaps.
2) Smash Bros. related. (I would personally be very disappointed with this)
3) New Metroid.
4) More information on already announced Wii U games. Where is Yoshi's Yarn and SMT x Fire Emblem? Another trailer for X and a final title for it would be welcome too.

If they show Yoshis Yarn or SMT x Fire Emblem they are idiotic. This is going to be an attempt to get Western gamers on board. Expect Zelda or a new I.P.

Or expect neither and don't end up getting let down.

I don't have that high expectations for this event. They could wow everyone in the room with a mere seconds of Zelda footage, though. A gritty Metroid could bode well with the dudebro audience. I don't expect new IPs to be unveiled here, that is something for E3. Or they could just show some random Smash Bros stuff. This is just Reggie teasing us, anyway.

It'll be like the No Russian mission but with Miis.

Could even be another cooperative effort, but perhaps with a western studio?

...or maybe it's Just Dance 5.

Maybe this is how we'll finally get Beyond Good and Evil 2.

...I shouldn't even joke about that, that would be too awesome to actually happen.

I think at best it'll be a new trailer and release date for Bayonetta 2.
