It's official, Ubisoft just confirmed via Twitter that they will NOT be releasing the Watch Dogs DLC on the Wii U version of the game....Wow just wow Ubisoft is giving us the middle finger yet again...
I'm not entirely sure why are they even releasing the game on the WiiU anymore.
People already know it's not GOTY material and anyone interested in it probably bought it for another system already.
So they can ''prove'' their point that Wii U owners don't buy mature games / third party games.
All we're waiting for is the price of €60/$60, as that would be the icing on this spoiled cake. Hopefully it's their last cake, because their cakes are a lie.
Heh... what a surprise. I would laugh at this, but I saw it coming a mile away. And 2 or 3 months after release, Ubisoft will claim that the WiiU userbase doesn't appreciate 3rd-party games based on lackluster sales figures of their latest lackluster game.
Well, you reap what you sow, Ubisoft. You reap what you sow...
LOL not surprised in the least. Why even release it for the system without any DLC support? I guess they're is gonna blame their game's poor sales on the Wii U owners once again
Not that i'm interested in Watch Dogs anyways. (Pure overhyped mediocrity!)
Well that's done it, it wouldn't have been a success story no matter what.

"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3

And then it's going to look like there's no demand for the game, and they won't publish anymore games on the Wii U.
Exactly this. At this point, everybody knows the game was over-hyped for its own good. It received multiple awards just based on its debut trailer, which is ridiculous. Now that there's no DLC for the Wii U version, it goes to show how much demand there is for the game. They won't profit off of the Wii U by adding DLC unfortunately.

Wow...I mean...just WOW. Ubisoft either REALLY wants an excuse to not make any games on Nintendo systems (other then...sigh...Just Dance), or they are just REALLY stupid. I mean, Morphbug was right! What IS the point in even releasing it on Wii U anymore!? We're not getting the DLC, anyone could've gotten it on other systems, from what I hear it's not as good as it was hyped up to be...why even bother!? I also can't help but remember back when Ubisoft was praising the Wii U, ready to give their full support, and making titles OTHER than Just Dance.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

Do not buy gimped third party games on Wii U. These people put unfinished versions of their games on the Wii U, and they do it to steal money from unsuspecting people. That's why I'm not getting Lego Batman 3.

Not shocked at all but this makes me less inclined to support them on other systems as well.

I guess I can save my money. No support = no sale.
EDIT: Their "source" is gone, maybe the twitter page miss-spoke... unlikely but maybe
More likely they didn't want to be so blunt about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep all quiet of the subject right until the release just to reel in the six people who've still pre-ordered this gimped, overpriced port.
Year ago I was so excited about this game. Funny how being tossed around and given a huge middle finger tends to deflate the hype. Now I'll maybe pick it up at some point.
Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8
