Topic: Need a little help selling my Wii U

I'm going to sell my Wii U. I've only spent my time on playing Super Smash Bros. and now that the title is coming for the Switch, I figured that I might as well sell it and get the Switch instead. Besides, I've been wanting to play Mario Odessy and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild too.

But since I am basically going to give the ownership of my Wii U to another one, I need to know a few things.

On my Wii U console, I would rather not have the new owner access to my Nintendo profile and I am aware that I can't delete it, so I created a new Mii user, in which that could just be a temporary use for the one who is going to buy the console. Now, with all the data that I've received and the in-game content that I've bought for Smash 4, the data on Mario Maker and TLOZ: Twilight Princess (which I bought in the digital store), if I delete my original Mii profile, will all the data stay so the new owner can keep the old data when they play on their own profile?

Unless you are planning on giving the Wii U to a relative, I'd strongly advise you check out Nintendo's own website guidelines on how to remove ALL your data from the Wii U System.

If you google search something like 'preparing Wii U for sale' or 'selling Wii U what to do first' or simply search 'how to restore my Wii U to factory settings' you may also find some useful steps to follow.

Good luck with the sale. If I had the cash I'd pick up a second Wii U.

@Paulnareff
Keep your Wii U.
You can use Wii U for playing Wii games.
You have your Wii U E-shop account, so better keep it.
