I’m sorry, but if Nintendo of America still pretends to ignore the Mother / Earthbound fandom’s existence even with all these Miiverse messages pouring in, I’m going to be so done.

NOA, stop ignoring our existence. You've done it ever since our pleading petitions have come out, just at least give us a statement, anything on the series here. There are hundreds of thousands of people willing to pick up this series, you're tying yourself down to the horribly-marketed release of the original Earthbound. WE EXIST.

We've been winning some interesting stuff lately through our Miiverse protests such as the 60 Hz and Rayman Challenge Mode. So maybe we can win Earthbound on our Virtual Console service if we keep up the Miiverse comments demanding for it.

I like how Nintendo has been using Miiverse to make some decisions based on our voices and what we want to satisfy its customers.

Welp, here is finally the undeniable proof of Earthbound being on Virtual Console...and it's only in Japan right now. I think this is the first time i've been excited and disappointed at the same time. :/

What makes you think this was an NOA decision? Keep in mind Europe never got the game in the first place

Did they ever say that the VC release of this game is Japan only?

Since people have been asking to have this game re-released for 6 or 7 years (4 of which were spent with the knowing the news that Earthbound would "never be coming to Virtual Console"), then it's understandable if some people don't believe it since it's been put off for so long.

Well the silence from NOA and NOE is deafening.

They didn't, but they haven't given any type of indication that it will be released in America either. It's patience time again.

NoA already stated years ago that its not getting a release due to licensing issues. I'd say it was more of a case of NoA not wanting to repeat themselves year after year. I hope it does get a release, but I don't hold out much hope, especially after Mother 3 failed to get released as well.

...Does anyone know if they changed the music or something? Wasn't that the real licensing issue?

hmm sounds abit iffy, surely someone would notice and tell the rest of the internet. theres obviously people who would buy it.

I hope that's not true. It would be pretty awful of NoA to do that and not tell anyone.
