I don't care if they have items in multiplayer because the only thing at stake is your ranking. But in single player? It's highly annoying when your ability to complete the game and unlock things based more on AI hax than actual racing skill.

It's not really about the AI in my opinion, it's really about how they handle the items. For once, I'd like it if the Bullet Bill didn't run out right before a jump, or for Red Shells to avoid hitting curves (walls & tight corners are acceptable), or for Blue Shells to not appear when some people are near the 1st place racer.
Issue is the way items are handled, not the AI. If there are 3 racers or more near the 1st place racer, the Blue Shell should not come as it disturbs the current play between the racers. If Nintendo could make the game analyze how many racers are near the 1st place racer, MK8 will be much more balanced (I guess).
The Blue Shells' goal is to slow down 1st place so others can catch up, not flip the tables on 1st place. That was the main purpose of it.

Those seem to be more multiplayer issues. Again, I don't really care as much on multiplayer (particularly local when ranking doesn't matter), it's single player where it's an issue. Blue Shell doesn't really have much of a point in single player because it's a matter of outmatching the computer, having an equalizer item isn't really fair in that case.
@Bolt_Strike Well the only AI issue I tend to see is that they never target each other, only the player, which sucks.

Is it wrong to hope that there's a glitch that lets you go out of bounds and explore Sunshine Airport? Kinda like the Coconut Mall glitch. I just really wanna explore these tracks.

Some people are getting emails from amazon saying that they will get mario kart between april 16 and 19, the amazon page say's the game was realesed march 10th go so maybe its just a wrong date, but who knows, hype!.

If Mario Kart 8 is coming out sooner than May 30th then we need a Nintendo Direct soon focused on Mario Kart 8 and Nintendo needs to advertise this game like crazy. Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundles should be announced soon.... IF THIS IS TRUE.
If this would be confirmed I'd honestly cry a little bit, but the date is changed back on Amazon AND on a website I read a nintendo's spokesperson said the Mario Kart 8 release date has not changed. Whatever, either way this is still the most hype game of the year for me! So excited
