I know earlier I said a battle mode pack would be cool, but IMO two DLC packs is enough. Also IMO the MK dev team should start development on the next MK relatively soon for the next console (isn't that how it works)? Anyway, having a true battle mode would be cool, but if they pulled all the stops for this entry they might not have enough original content for the next one.

Not much to say here. I like Nintendo. That's about it.

Actually the whole Star Cup in 200cc is a lot more fun than before imo. The weird thing to me is that when you're shrunk from lightning, the kart steers like it's 150cc.
They all do -50cc? Or is this one just a coincidence? I never noticed...

I felt the track which improved the most by increasing to 200cc was Toad's Turnpike. You are much more likely to run into the cars and trucks! In general, I don't think there's a single track that was made worse by increasing to 200cc.

I love 200cc mode, it makes it more about skill if only they put an option in to tone down the mad items. There needs to be more skill involved especially with the red shells like Mario Kart 64

If have chance take a look at my youtube channel, mainly nintendo console focused

200cc is part of the update and available from the get go, it's under 150cc & Mirror Mode. Have you let it install onto your Wii U after you downloaded it?

And get gold trophies on 150cc.

The new DLC tracks are great but I'm pretty sure Nintendo made Neo Bowser City in like 2 minutes. Its a fun track but c'mon...

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Heh, Neo Bowser City is a pretty divisive track I've seen from most people.
Either you love the futuristic setting and difficult turns along with rain that messes up your traction coupled with few walls or you don't. I'm in the love it section after spending some time with it.

I really wish they added an option to remove coins. I really don't like them at all. They make it far easier to fall way behind when you are in the middle, and far easier to stay ahead when you are way in front.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

After playing more through the DLC tracks... some thoughts:

  • At least one or two tracks from the stage 2 DLC will appear on every online lobby, and most players will pick them. I find that a little annoying because now the other tracks appear even less than before.
  • Unpopular opinion, but I don't like F-Zero tracks and I don't even care for the franchise.
  • Neo Bowser City feels very much like an F-Zero track without speed boosts. Honestly I just don't like any of the tracks set on a "futuristic/sci-fi setting", including most of the Rainbow Roads and Mute City.
  • Cheese Land is better than the above two I mentioned but I really don't care much for it.
  • Baby Park is a lot of fun even though it's nothing but mayhem and requires less skill than any other track and pretty much a luck-of-the draw based on what items you get. The more stars, bullet bills, and lightning you get, the better your odds of winning.
  • Animal Crossing is easily the best new track from the stage 2 DLC in my opinion. Ribbon Road is probably the second best.

As far as DLC characters:

  • Dry Bowser should have been replaced by Bowser Jr. I'm sick of multiple versions of one character in the game. It's a waste.

That'll settle down after a few weeks, people are just excited not to be playing the same 40 tracks over and over again. This would've been less prominent if the gap between DLC packs was less.

Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach also should have been replaced by other characters. Or at least those characters could have been alternate costumes to their respective characters as a free download, not a whole new character.

Before DLC2 arrived, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach both were unique MK8 characters with their own stats. With the DLC2, the Tanooki Mario stats seem duplicated by Male Villager, while the Cat Peach stats are duplicated by Female Villager.

Well... I mean lots of the characters have their stats duplicated, don't they? Same with the vehicles and parts.

I've been playing the Wild Woods track and realized something

They could have called it Frontier village and replaced the shy guys with nopon and add the frontier village theme and I would have exploded from happiness, why nintendo, why ;-;

Yes, it has happened to me. As far as i've been able to deduct, item distribution is heavily weighted by driver position but ultimately it is random. Hence the coins in 10th place and Bullet Bill in 2nd. Odds are against it but it can always happen.

Funny you say that, same thing happened to me earlier.I was in 3rd but neck and neck with the front 2 approaching the last items before the finish line and got a Bullet Bill and won the race. It's the first time I think that's happened.i wasn't complaining but it seemed a bit cheap.

Same thing happened to me today. In second place and got a Bullet Bill. Wasn't enough to win the race though but found it very strange and out of place.
