I could do without Baby Park honestly. Excitebike Arena is very similar the sense it's the same round track that becomes an item bombardment and a waste of time every time it's picked to race on. But if it happens then ok. I just think they could totally add something with more detail. Super Circuit or SNES tracks? I don't think Vanilla Lake has been redone ever. I'd kill for Ribbon Road, Lakeside Park or Cheese Land from SC.
Wario Stadium from N64, pls don't come this time. Wait for Mario Kart 9. I don't need this Wario/dirt track overload.
Let's add more Rainbow Roads. I don't think 3 in the same game and the SNES one being redone twice in a row (for MK7 & 8) was enough. Let's add it in again.
Where does it say/hint that DLC 1 and 2 are included? The only info I can find hinting in that direction is that these CDs are planned for end of April?
"Wii U「マリオカート8」の2枚組CDを特別ポイントでご用意しました。
追加コンテンツの曲も含めて聴いていただけます。"
It means that the soundtrack of both DLC packs are included on these CDs.

Yes, this is the Google translation: "2 CD set of Wii U "Mario Kart 8" I was available at a special point.
You can listen, including the songs of additional content."
Not a great translation but the bold part is all that matters.

I figured I'd mention a possible pattern I've seen regarding the DLC related stuff:
November
Wednesday 22nd October - GCN Yoshi Circuit announced
Tuesday 28th October - Excitebike Arena announced
Wednesday 5th November - Trailer revealing all 8 courses
Thursday 13th November - DLC Pack 1 released
April
Wednesday 1st April - Animal Crossing announced
-
-
Thursday 23rd April - DLC Pack 2 released
If they're to follow the same pattern as last time, another track will be revealed tomorrow. I'm hoping they do and it's a retro track!

Yes, the announce-to-release time seems pretty much identical to the last DLC, so you might be right. In the Nintendo Direct, Iwata said they would add more info about the remaining karts and courses later on. A new track this week would be great.
Personally, I would hope they could reveal one single track trailer at a time, so we could benefit from all the in-depth stuff found at GameXplain's analyzing work. But that's very unlikely.
BTW, 3000 ranking points seems to be the threshold for racing at 150cc online (instead of 100cc). Wonder where they will put the threshold for 200cc online?

Considering that GameXplain is still extremely busy with the Direct, odds are they wouldn't have much time to crank out trailer analyses for each trailer, if they did that. Heck, even if they only make one trailer revealing ALL the tracks at once and it launches today, GameXplain probably will only barely get it uploaded before the DLC launches.
With the DLC so close to release and only knowing one of the tracks,I am going to attempt to resist opening any news articles with the reveals to save them as a surprise.I am sure I can do it...I think haha.Hopefully NL wont say what they are in the headlines.
Played online last night with someone who had 80,000 points. One thing that was interesting was that they kept using mushrooms even while in 1st place to cut across grass areas. No idea how he did it.

I wonder why they have so many points in the first place. I've got 10.000 points right now, and I play the game pretty excessive. They would have played the game at last 6 times that long as me... really weird.
And I noticed some weird things from them as well. I'd like to know what tricks they use, to do stuff like that.
As for the Mushroom thing. It's possible to get it on the 1st spot as well. One game I saw someone getting Bullet Bill on the 2nd spot,... while I was getting a Coin at the same time on the 3rd spot right behind him... seriously...
I played online last night and struck it extremely lucky. It was Thwomp Ruins, and I was hit by every item under the sun and put into last place, after maintaining first for 2 laps. It was the final lap, and I got triple mushrooms. I managed to use the shortcut at the end of the track and use the other two mushrooms while gliding. I overtook everybody, and claimed back first place.
I will update this when Half Life 3 arrives. [Started 17/11/2015]
