I can't wait until the DLC, more importantly the new tracks. I kind of got bored of all of the new tracks, hopefully they manage to do some amazing stuff.,
I don't know if this has affected anybody else, it's not a serious issue, just an odd one really.
I've been using Toad, 300 SL Roadter, arure roller, plane glider as my setup recently. One thing I've noticed is that the save feature keeps Toad, azure roller and plane glider together but resets the kart back to the standard part.
I'm just wondering if this is glitch or that the save feature doesn't recognise the Mercedes karts and resets the part anyway.
Other than that, I've found that that setup has really improved my offline game and has helped to get three star ratings on the 150cc and reverse tracks. So I have only a few gp's to clear up now.
The problem happens for me too. I used for a fair amount of time Wario, Silver Arrow, Slick tyres and Cloud glider and the kart indeed reset to standard kart every time I started the game up.

Press the Minus button during gameplay. If you pause the screen, you can see it says to press the Minus button to display the map, but it's so dumb to make it kinda hidden.

Are you sure? I thought any control scheme works as long as it's always Player 1. Players 2, 3, & 4 can't manipulate the mini map.

Yes, I tried with the pro controller and pressing Minus did nothing, wasn't displayed as part of the controls on the pause screen either. Typical Nintendo forcing the Gamepad again...
So what other Nintendo characters do you want to see as DLC? O.O How about a cartoony version of Samus to match Mario Kart's style? Also, she could wear her zero suit when she rides a bike. Of course, they could make her a little bit more in proportion with Peach, Rosalina, and Daisy to keep it rated E, if ya know what I mean.

I really hoped that there would be no other clone characters for DLC. Pink Gold Peach and Metal Mario was pretty lame. They could have just made Tanooki Mario and Cat Suit Peach another skin option.
Also, it would have been great to see Wind Waker Link in the kart seat.

I agree, they should have just made those skin options like the different color Yoshis and Shy Guys. I would have rather them do that and include other characters like maybe Wart from SMB2 or maybe The Magikoopa from SMW2 something along those lines then just different suits for Mario and Peach.

I get the impression that Tanooki Mario is between Baby Mario and the normal Mario in weight, just as Metal Mario is the heavier version. Same with Peach.
I notice while playing online that people are doing that fire hop move a lot,has anybody notice this??
Yeah, I've noticed. Of course I'm one of the people doing it, or trying to do it. I haven't perfected it yet but it does give a small boost so I feel it is probably worth it to master.
