I'm actually gonna wait on this one. I really enjoyed Mortal Kombat at first, but after playing Tekken, MK was lacking in so many ways IMO. I think Tekken is better than Mortal Kombat overall in every way, and I'm hoping this game uses a completely different fighting control concept than MK, otherwise I'm passing this up.
Oh god, this seems to be SO violent, can't believe it's coming to Wii U
Well considering it's from the creators of MK, it's not a surprise
Anyway, although I love a lot of DC characters, I've never really bought a lot of comics, especially since now I have a job while before I didn't XD
Considering I will probably buy this game, is there some series I could get to dive into DC world a bit? Would 52 be a good choice?
i'm not a huge MK fan but this one looks interesting. and the last marvel vs capcom game did little for me. this game and tekken tag 2 should keep me busy until the next dead or alive, streetfighter, king of fighter and virtua fighter games arrive on the wii U.

Get some of Marv Wolfman, Jack Kirby, Geoff Johns and John Byrne if you wanna get some really good stories (I suggest you buy them digital, reprints are hard to come buy). If you REALLY want to, you can go ahead and buy New 52 but DON'T, I REPEAT DON'T buy anything before it if you do, spare yourself the heartbreak.

There's currently a run specifically designed the game. The name? You guessed it, Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The fighting game isn't set in the New 52 releases, so there isn't anything specifically gained by buying those books. Outside of the revisionist (some slightly, some major) background stories of the characters.
But if you're interested in checking out the New 52 in general, I like Birds of Prey and Batgirl. Supergirl started off slow but picked up steam. Suicide Squad, again, slow but picked up. I liked Blue Beetle too, till they cancelled it. That's another thing to keep an eye out for New 52 releases, DC cancels low selling books fairly religiously.
Static Shock and Terry McGuiness(spelling)? Those were probably the best DC cartoon series IMO before I completely lost interest in DC. They don't make the cartoons like they did in the 90's and early 2000s... I really hope this is a good game, and doesn't rely on the success of Mortal Kombat.

But young Justice is awesome. Black Manta makes it so.

Flat dialogue, storyline with no substance and non-stop twists make for a REALLY lame show! No, no I'm wrong. These writers knew what they were doing when they skipped 5 years to see the characters grow instead of ACTUALLY SEEING THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!! It wasn't good in my honest opinion...

But it has Black Manta and the Light embarrassing everyone. Also I didn't mind the time skip since we got Blue Beetle and Impulse as a result.

I dont know about comics but I am sure enjoy the heck out of the show Arrow. As far as the game goes I hope to see some classic references in the game.

Impulse sucked and Blue beetle was pretensious. OH YEAH, I remember Black Manta and the light embarrassing everyone WHEN THEY GOT BEATEN BY FREAKIN' TEENAGERS! And the exclusion of Donna Troy was idiotic. (YES, I KNOW SHE HAD A CAMEO BUT STILL!)
Overall, the series was not only a waste of time, it was also disappointing. I REALLY wanted to like it I REALLY DID! But stupid characters, stupid stories and stupid decisions by the writers just made it fail. You probably can't change my opinion so I suggest you don't try. I just don't like Young Justice...
deep breath So I really can't wait to play this game!

Assuming I haven't, I really hope they handle the whole 'Superman is evil in this' thing correctly
I am not sure if it was this game but I heard that one of Superman's alternative looks is the Red Son look.
That's right! link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkNHO1twrRM
I hear it's a great book, have you read it?
No I havent read it. I hear that it is good as well. As for the look in game its a pre order bonus from Gamestop but I am sure it will be available to everyone for purchase.
