Ok, time for a short rant about this game.

First, I highly dislike how the game handles the second skulltula in each Legend Mode mission. I don't mind having to do the mission on hard and with a certain character/weapon. However, I don't understand why they hide part of the requirements to make the skulltula appear. It can be frustrating having to restart a mission (I'll touch on this later) just because you figured out the requirements through process of elimination just a moment too late (or too soon!). Could've been handled a little bit better.

Also, it seems odd for a game that have checkpoints and manual save points to not have an option to manually restart from either. I know it's more fun and satisfying to turn a mission around from imminent defeat, but if you miss a skulltula or make a huge mistake, I don't like having to wait around to die just so I could start over and try again. An option to restart from the previous checkpoint would've been great. In addition, an option to restart the entire mission would've been nice as well. There are only two ways to restart a mission, either die, or back out of the mission entirely, reselect the mission, character, and weapon, wait for the game to load, wait for the opportunity to skip the cutscenese if there are any, and then finally start the battle again.

For the record, I love this game a lot, but sometimes I get a little flustered with the lack of options that really should be standard in games like this.

As it turns out, the 1.3.0 update includes a setting to turn off boss encounter cutscenes in Adventure Mode. Minor, but much appreciated.

This may be a dumb question but do you have to pick up the items when dropped or do you automatically get them in the end? I was told on Miiverse it was automatic and you don't need to pick them up to get the reward.

You need to grab the materials in order for you to get them. To my knowledge, the materials don't disappear so you have don't have to worry about missing any unless you beat the mission.

Then about the skulltulas - they don't show the complete info in the Warrior Info screen mid-scenario? (I've never looked at it in that mode yet.)

The complete info is only revealed when the entirety of the requirements have been revealed in the mission. For example, in The Sorceress of the Valley, the second skulltula requires you to "Defeat ??? within three minutes and then find ???". What you're supposed to do is defeat Volga within three minutes, which is the very beginning of the mission, and then find the correct Mandhandla stalk to fight the boss, which is at the very end. Problem is, the game won't tell you that until you go to find the Mandhandla stalk at the end of the mission, and chances are you failed to meet the first part of the requirement, forcing you to restart the mission. Why it doesn't partially reveal the requirement as the mission progresses is beyond my reasoning.

In all honesty I've enjoyed Hyrule Warriors more than the last 2 Zelda games.

You are more patient than I! After failing the Volga one twice, I just went and spoiled myself on it You are spot on about the other little annoyances. I can't believe how some menu options I'd consider common sense aren't even there! Skipping cutscenes is a welcome addition!

I'd really like to see an apothecary option that increases material drop rate, at the cost of weapon. I'm so sick of killing the imprisoned for scales only to get weapons. I really hope they balance out the badge materials needed with the Cia, Volga, and Wizzro with all the materials that I have tons of. Please don't let them need moblin flanks!

Any word on the next DLC's new character? It sure seems like Twilight Princess is missing another worthy character to add. I'd bet on the skeletal move-trainer you frequently encounter. Anyone else seems just too minor. Wouldn't make any sense to call it Twilight Princess pack without a TP character being added. Major's mask I have never played, so no idea who the two would be.

My money is on Midan's true form but I can see the ghost knight being a possibilty. I'm more intrested in the Majora' Mask pack, Skull Kid is too obvious so it leaves who will be the 2nd character.

True form midna will most likely be the new weapon that comes with the pack, I'm betting on hero's shade for the new character

Midna's true form as a weapon? No! I want her a playable character, i want be a badass with her! I'm sick and tired her imp form get's all the attention and her true form get's nothing.

Yep, it branches off of the first Legend mode map I believe. Just under it. That's why I thought the price and content was too good to pass up.

The free update adds characters. The master Quest DLC adds 5 new scenarios which make up cia's tale. Besides that there is a Master Quest Adventure map whith different rules and the new weapons and stuff.

I'm having trouble getting it to work as well, it seems that neither the game update or the DLC has pushed through yet, despite an update to the eShop.
