Or try and use any buttons to open a game or netflix..the buttons wont work. However, when I push the buttons when the wii u menu is on the GAMEPAD SCREEN..that is when the buttons work and I can control the wii u menu..

So how can I use the gamepad buttons (analog stick, A, B, etc) to control the wii u menu so that it moves on my TV SCREEN and I am able to choose game apps and the netflix app on my TV SCREEN..?

Thank you.

When you switch to have the menu on the TV screen the Gamepad is controlling Warawara Plaza. If you want to be able to control the home menu on the TV you'll need a separate controller. Any of the standard ones (Wii remotes, Pro controller etc.) will work.

So I can use the wii remote from the 2006 original nintendo wii? Like the old one?

If you can sync it to your Wii U, then yes.

Is this aero888 the same person as radagasttt? They're both spamming the forums.
