Oooohhh, a newly listed (brand new) deluxe Wii U, with free shipping, the seller has 100% positive feedback with a 438 score, and the current bid is at $162 and the auction has only 20 hours to go. If the price remains the same (or at least $250 or lower) tomorrow, I making my mom get an Ebay account.

Yeah...about what I just mentioned before...the price jumped to $300. I hate auctions.

Just an FYI, if you're doing bids instead of "Buy It Now", the bids tend to jump a lot right before the time is up, that's when most users wait to bid hoping to snatch it at the last minute. Anything with more than an hour left is very likely to skyrocket.

I kinda already figured that (in fact I plan on doing so myself). But there's a few new consoles with less then 24 hours left under $300, maybe I'll get lucky. But if I do have a chance, only to lose at the last 5 minutes or less (which wouldn't surprise me), I'm going to have some cardboard on standby in case I need to blow of some steam...

Anyone saying not to buy off of ebay needs to assimilate and quit resisting change. I buy off of ebay all the time, computer components, music equipment, video games, shoes (new shoes, buying used shoes is icky), and if you have a problem you're covered by both paypal and ebay.

The monitor that I'm viewing this webpage on, the video card rendering the picture, the power supply powering said video card, the HDMI cable connecting the monitor and video card, the mouse I used to navigate to this thread, the speakers playing the music I'm listening to, the cell phone charging next to me, the pack of guitar strings on my desk in front of me, the guitar capo I rigged to be a headphone holder, my Xbox 360 controller plugged into my PC, the guitar cable under my feet, the snark on my headstock, the Circle Pad Pro on my desk, the springs on my bass drum pedal, and the charging cradle my 3DS is sitting in all came from ebay. I wholeheartedly recommend ebay for all your buying needs.

That shipping must be killing your pockets.

I rarely buy things that don't have free shipping, and when I do pay shipping it's very reasonable. Take into consideration I'm also an Amazon Prime member, which means I get free 2 day shipping on tons of items, and I still choose ebay most of the time.

Lots of censorship here...

If you were referring to me, I wasn't saying "don't buy from eBay", cause I did multiple times too, I was just saying "don't buy used, wait for an offer and buy new"

Well, there's a new Wii U at $260, and auction ends in 7 1/2 hours. Fingers crossed!

I've used eBay for years so I feel I should warn you that things like new electronics that are up for auction with no buy it now option often have numerous auction snipers sitting on it.

There's probably a half dozen people who will wait until the final 20 seconds before they start bidding. Having said that, good luck!

Screw it, I'm just going to Best Buy at this point. I already have $100 in gift cards for there, plus $150 in cash, so I'll be able to buy it soon enough. Originally I wanted to get a Wii U elsewhere in order to save the gift cards for games, but now I'm switching the plan around since I can find games on Ebay for half the price (for example a new copy of NSMBU for $37 as Buy it Now), not to mention it's a much smaller risk.
