Waddya think? comeone someones gotta leave this at miyamoto's desk right?
I was thinking Ds virtual console console was gonna be awesome. I always wanted to play ds games on my tv ever since i got one. but so far only been awesome for the games that has the action on the top screen. It isnt so friendly for all the other ds games. if you just want to play on your tv without messy tiny screen options, its too bad.

Mario and luigi is such a screen gimmicky game I'm just really tired of switching screens every 5 seconds in partners in time and I wana play animal crossing wild world on my tv without it being all messed up (when it comes out in na). And also It would be pretty cool to play Elite Beat Agents with a wii remote. That needs to come out too

Using the wiimote to play touch games is not a good solution. It's a radically different input method and not comparable to touching the screen with your stylus at all.

Need proof? Buy Wario Ware DIY and Wario Ware DIY Showcase. The games become twice as hard to play when you send them to the Wii. Playing Elite Beat Agents with you wiimote? Maybe only the first few songs on easy.

Bloop.

Everytime I see this thread I'm like "fix DS" because I just think of how many games barely use the top screen or even vice versa and it's a bit awkward, I bet it's even weirder for the DS on the WiiU because the TV is useless. It's almost like how Kirby & The Rainbow Curse was.

I agree with @Yeahman, my first DS virtual console game was partners in time and its almost impossible to play on the tv because the game thinks the screens are stacked on top of each other so battles are almost impossible. there is a option with the screens on top of each other, but it puts this ugly ds border around the screens that makes it impossible to see. i heard phantom hourglass may be coming out in na this week, but if i get it my hand might die.

Yea who wants to look at a tiny screen on your big TV or Gamepad?Thats duumb, We never had to do that for any other game. Seriously who's the dumb guy that programed this and how are the Virtual Console testers playing these games?

The one opponent I have is the 'Revolution Controller touch screen' thing. After all, I had to use 'The Tug of War' form instead of 'The Remote Control' when playing WarioWare: DIY Showcase due to controls being quite slippery otherwise.

Actually, I like Bowser AND hairy bellies!

Updated the pamplet. playing with focus display settings isnt thaat bad. if it were big. And instead of coming up with a bunch of screen display settings its better to be able to customise it a bit. that gives you alot of control there and creativity. http://oi63.tinypic.com/2s11v1u.jpg

I just wana play Animal Crossing Wild World normaly on my TV and be able to see it too

@MarkyVigoroth: Yeah that's a wii remote. slippery. I think you could fix that by getting closer to the sensor bar

I wouldn't use the vertical DS screen option to play games on the TV. But its an option for those who want to do so, even if they probably realise that its not a good way. A smaller DS screen to the side of the larger other DS screen, or bottom screen on Game Pad, and top screen on the TV is the best way to play DS games. Or holding the Game Pad vertically for games that don't use any of the buttons.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

I hate the side by side option. too small.

Is there not a Screen setting that puts the bottom screen big and the top screen small on the TV? That could probably help. I thought I saw that option, haven't spend much time on DS VC so I could be wrong.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Yeah. Too small! I just feel a sap playing like that. Like Nintendo Scamed me. They could of easy-peasy made the other screens big and fit the whole TV and it would of been a awesome experience I always wanted and been waiting for a long time. I mean playing ds games on your TV like a console game, Thats pretty Awesome! How could Nintendo possibly ruin this? I tried playing like that I really did but I just cant play it without thinking this is dumb and who wants to play something you think its dumb? Its noting comparable to playing Mario Kart DS Perfectly fitting on the TV like every other game I played on the TV. It just drives me crazy. Jeesh Nintendo makes me feel like a cranky old man. NINTENDO! but im only 17! Yea theres my whole life story right there.

@Yeahman: Only if you need both screens simultaneously to play the game. Of course some games wouldn't work well like that.

I woulden't mind using that display SOMTIMES. If only it would fit the whole screen better. You know the GBA virtual console has a pixel perfect mode where the screen is smaller and a Full-screen mode where it fits the whole TV. Atleast they give you a choice there

That is simple to fix. Go buy Animal Crossing: City Folk for Wii. It is essentially the same exact game but with everything on the main screen. Even has your pointer as a stylus controls that you believe will work so well (they don't).

@Darknyht: You could say the same thing about any Virtual Console game. The modern version is almost always superior, but we enjoy the retro games anyway due to nostalgia and what not.

@Bass_X0: My point wasn't that it was a superior remake. It is essentially the equivalent of Animal Forest on N64 vs Animal Crossing on Gamecube. They took Wild World, formatted it for the Wii (and Wiimote controls) and then slapped some extras into it.
