I was thinking Nintendo should release a single app for each console that they have released. It would include every Nintendo game from that console for say $20-30 dollars. I would like to play some of the vc games on their own, but don't want that many games cluttering up the menu/would be nice to switch between games like nes remix on the spot. Any thoughts?
Online Games
Mario Kart
Kid Icarus
Luigi's Mansion
Pokemon
Super Smash
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
I could see them doing something like that but as a subscription service subscription when they've brought enough games over to make it worth it(so likely not for the Wii U).
How many games from the VC do people on average buy. So say you make it $50. If you think about it, you're buying in bulk so a natural price reduction seems fair. Furthermore, nobody buys every game anyways. At most usually 4-5 depending on the type of gamer. Therefore, I see them making more revenue and profit from this even without knowing the exact statistics of eshop buyers. Not everybody is interested in buying a full package of games, some want their 2 games from the vc and that's it so it doesn't make the current vc eshop worthless. Both have a place on the wii u eshop.

You have evidence to back up this number...or are you pulling it out of thin air?
Not to mention they'd spend a lot of time making the games, only to undercharge for the efforts. Consumers' biased view set aside, I see no reason for them doing this.
I currently have roughly 8-10 VC games, and will be buying more as time goes buy. People love old games, and Nintendo would be shooting themselves in the foot by the doing this. Well, more accurately it would be like shooting themselves in the foot, reloading, and then popping a cap in the other for symmetry's sake. I've spent more than $50 on VC games just with my meager collection. I'm sure there are people out there who have every game in the VC list, which would come to a total of more than $200 easily, a figure that will double, triple, and beyond in the years to come.
I think this is almost definitely not going to happen due to the fact that it would take a long time to re-code these games and at that price it just wouldn't be worth it for them. They will probably keep on releasing virtual console games in the same format they have been releasing them which is each game is a stand alone game not a compilation. On the subject of cluttered home menu, maybe Nintendo should update the console so you can make folders and name them what you please and you can put whatever software you want into that folder.
i think they should have a retro gamer club, probably with some kind of subscription model. then they could use club members who opt in to also help test out upcoming games to get them released to the public faster.
There's a lot Nintendo could do with the VC, but they wont. Maybe give 10% off all VC purchases after buying 5-10 games, then 20% after buying 15-20. Those kind of little bonus' that people would appreciate and push them to buy more from the service. Giving all the games in one package though? It'd make all past purchases on the VC service redundant, so I don't think so.
I would welcome more deals like the Super Mario Kart one where you get a reduction in on Mario Kart 8 price when you download an earlier title in the series making the SNES version effectively free.

Regular sales could help over time, but it all depends on how much money they already make on VC. And there is no official source on how much they make (I don't buy any internet "source")
