As the title says... I just got a Wii U and not sure if I should get some games now or wait until they come on sale (if they do).

Thanks in advance.

Yes to both but VC sales are very rare. There should a button the eshop front page that takes you to the current sales going on.

The sales aren't close to as drastic as they are on something like Steam, but there are usually one or two games on sale each week. The discounts aren't very major, usually between 25-40% off. You're better off buying what you want now than just waiting forever for a deal that has a small chance of happening.
Oh yeah,Nintendo Life makes weekly articles regarding new eshop releases and temporary discounts. You should check it periodically in case there is a game you want.

Sales are quite rare for VC games. There is occasionally a discount at launch for some VC games, but other than that, for the discounts offered, it's really not worth the wait.

Porygon did nothing wrong.

eShop sales are great, I got some great deals that way. My favorite deal was Child of Light going for under $4. But VC games seem to rarely go on sale. The last time I saw VC games go on sale was during E3 this year.

I wish they the sales where more common and more lucrative. As a mainly Pc gamer you get used to big discounts and bundles.

OK, the Thanksgiving cyber-deal page is finally working after 40 minutes of glitchiness. Here's the page:

There are indeed a few VC games on sale: Mario Golf, Metroid Fusion, Star Fox Command. Nothing remarkable. The non-VC eShop games on sale are more tempting. For example, a bunch of well-reviewed retail games, the Wii game Kirby's Return to Dreamland ($12.99 vs $19.99), indie game Trine 2 ($9.99 vs $19.99). I'd get Child of Light ($7.49 vs $14.99) if I didn't already have it. I'll probably get Metroid Fusion ($4.79 vs $7.99).

I'm talking about Wii U games, by the way. There are also 3DS offers, but I don't have a 3DS.
