Topic: Assassin's Creed Syndicate not coming to Wii U

Here we go, another doom and gloom thread. But the new Assassin's Creed game, Syndicate, is not coming to Wii U, even though the Wii U logo was spotted on the teaser site. It's also not coming to last gen systems.

What do you guys think? Are you not surprised?

It's not news. No one expected it. Honestly there should only ever be mention of this if there ARE games coming to Wii U. At this point it's like pointing out that water is wet.

I'm not surprised. I doubt the Wii U is powerful enough to run it, especially considering it's not coming to PS360.

This response always rubs me the wrong way. I know there might be truth to it but if developers didn't target such crazy machines they could still deliver a great experience at lower quality visuals. Also with the architecture differences, it is more about just making a game for a particular set of hardware, and less on pure horse power. I don't want to start an argument, just wanted to share how it rubs me the wrong way.

About Assassin's Creed. I lost interest in that series a long time ago, not sure if I will ever go back. Ubisoft, please make a new Rayman game

Yeah, doubt the Mario Kart/Smash Bros./Splatoon Wii U players will care much either way. They probably bought the Wii U for Nintendo games.

It doesn't involve a Kenway (a la III, IV, Rogue) so I'm not that bothered. I'm way more peeved about us still not having Rogue despite it being on the 360 and PS3. What happened to Victory? Is Ubisoft seriously going to go with two games every year now?

That's Ubisoft for you.

What did Ubisoft release this year?

Out of the list I found we have: Just Dance, Watch_Dogs, and possibly Child of Light (Depending on when Ubisoft's financial years start) So I am not to surprised, look at all the other games they released throughout the year on other systems. Are there any games I am forgetting?

My surprise is non-existent. Anyone who expected the new game after Ubisoft blamed consumers and Nintendo for things that were their own fault (Basing the sales of Rayman Legends on the sales of ZombiU, the atrocious handling of the Watch_Dogs delay, need I go on?) were just being stupid.

Honestly I find "X game not coming to Wii U" are never really good threads and given how poorly Unity ran on PS4/Xbone I'd say it is for the best.

Another AC and so soon. I got AC 3 for my Wii U and still play it. I don't feel the need for more of the same.

Wii U does not have current-gen power (and this game is not coming to last-gen) or a very big install base. It's time to stop being surprised, people. Not that Assassin's Creed is good anyways, there are better games Nintendo platforms miss out on.

Black Flag on the WIi U I think is just as appalling. I dunno why anybody would want that.

I still haven't booted up Pirates: Assassin's Creed Edition, let alone Unity...I also have Pirates: Assassin's Creed Edition - More of The Same Extra + to play, too...Yeah, I can wait until this hits the bargain bin. :/
