Topic: anyone else think MiiVerse is annoying?

I like how half of the original post and the one about Captain Toad are basically a copy paste from Zero Punctuation's Mario 3D World review.

I don't actually see it as a forum for long discussions, while it would be good to have conversations about games etc and I have had a few debates but nothin major Most people want to post there progress and achievements or in game screen shots which I think is great. Yeah there's a lot of love for the games but if it were sony or Microsoft it would be exactly the same, lots of fan love for people's favourite games. I for one think its one of the best things nintendo have done, in a way it makes you appreciate games more with the screen shot capture, it's great when you want to know peoples opinions on game. While it is annoying when I post a question regarding how good a game is an all I get is a "yeah" response.
I'm curious to know what the populous of miiverse is, the community's used to tell u the amount of people in each one. It seems to have gone sadly the last time I remember it being there nintendo land had about 800,000 people.
And lastly it's so much better than Facebook I actually hate Facebook, I use Miiverse more
There's room for improvement sure, would be great if they include video capture like the last 15 seconds from when you press the home button to go to miiverse. Who knows what improvements await

I don't understand the hate for Facebook. You choose what to see. Don't like someone? Hide them from their feed, or unfriend them. Assuming someone has friends, its the easiest way to check up or maintain contact with friends without directly talking to them.

Then someone is always like 'well I just talk to my friends in person because social media is lame lolol'

That's nice that you have so few friends. Due to my education, career, and traveling, I've met at least a few hundred people I'd like to maintain contact with. It's literally impossible to see or call or text all of them on a regular basis. Likewise, facebook is the easiest form of mass communication. Try giving big news through a mass 300-person group text..

Facebook has fallen into the 'well its so popular I hate it for no reason' category. I've never heard a single good reason for actually hating it.

I had about 100 people on my Facebook friends and I talked to about 5 of them regularly outside of Facebook, most others were people from work who I saw at work everyday or just added me to get the numbers up.
I hate it because of the pointless bull crap people post... I really don't care what your eating for dinner etc.... And how many selfie pictures do people want to post of them self, yeah I get it I know what u look like....Why do people need to post pictures of them self in a vain attempt to get likes or comments...
Of my family I only have my mum, niece and cousin on there, the rest of my family either don't really talk anymore or don't use it.
So yeah that's my reasons , I'm sure there not good enough for you but it's good enough for me

That's not Facebook's fault. They give you multiple options to ignore people, and it's up to you to decide which people to befriend. You're hating a website for issues deriving from your own social life.

I don't use Facebook because... there's really not many people I know very well outside of my family... and my family, I see all the time... basically I have no idea what I'd talk about on Facebook... and as @PinkSpider says, I have no desire to know every little detail/problem of these people... all I like talking about (mostly) is video games, and I can do that here on this site with people who are just as interested in video games as me.

It's for later, to wonder why they were fired for being a drunk or some other naked pictures on there and later be shocked it's all over internet.

I will say that Miiverse is a good idea on paper, in practice it's hit and miss. If someone wants to use it, must be prepared for tards who spoil everything. I mean, whoever gave final boss sticker in the first world in SM3DW is an a-hole and should be shot on sight, because it can ruin experience to some people. It should be spoiler free, but it's kinda hard to see and monitor all the posts. I don't have a problem with all that because I'm not using it. It looks like glorified twitter, and I never saw a point in services like that. It can destroy your experience - I HATE what they did in Heroes VI with those online stones or whatever, where you can write anything. Mostly it's about genitalia or other "funny" cursewords. Haha...
Also, this actually shows "death" of conversasion, like any other FB or twitter. It's mostly "LOLZ" or something as utterly pointless. Kinda like most of discussions over interwebz.

I'm rather indifferent to Miiverse honestly. I don't really care for it, but I don't hate it either. The only thing I use it for is Sakurai's pic of the day. Too bad the comment section there is nothing but whines from people.

I love the breathtaking artwork users put up though.

I think you forgot that alot of us don't care. Just because you use FaceBook to keep in touch with 100+ people or whatever, doesn't mean everyone wants the same use out of the same service.

I don't hate any of those services(Twitter, FaceBook, etc.). I find them to be rather pointless, so there's no need to waste time on something I don't care about. I feel the same way about Miiverse, for the most part.

The way PS and Xbox have worked FaceBook into their systems isn't nearly as good as what Nintendo has done by incorporating Miiverse, though. I can say that much without really caring about any of these services.

Well I really like it.

It's really useful whenever you get stuck. I've got a 100% response rate luckily so far from people helping me and responding straight away when I post screen shots.

Posting screenshots in general is ace and can often lead to some good comedy moments if funny things are captured.

I like seeing thoughts and posts from other gamers appearing at the end or start or the side of a level. It just makes playing the game more social and lovely, even when you're alone.

The only thing I don't like is when you get the stamps on Mario World for example, and you just get endless posts of people posting really boring images of just one stamp, or the same stamp multiplied. I just want people to be more creative and imaginative with the stamps. But really I'm just moaning about users here, not Miiverse itself.

Again, what is the reason to hate Facebook? I'm not asking anyone to care, it's not like I want to add any of you on Facebook anyway. lol

But not wanting to use the site isn't a reason to hate it. There are plenty of sites I choose not to use, but I have no reason to hate them. Also I like how even on a totally random subject you make sure to throw in your "Nintendo > Sony" nonsense.

Dude, read the post. I specifically typed that I don't hate these services, but I still find them to be not worth alot, if any of my time.

You also ignored how I included Microsoft in this discussion, and that's beside that I don't care about these services, regardless of where they're coming from. Nintendo is doing things better in this area, IMO, but I wouldn't have cared either way(probably).

Miiverse is free, optional, and integrated more directly than what Xbox One and PS4 are doing. So what?

I commented on why people hate facebook. You respond to me. If you don't hate Facebook, I wasn't referring you to begin with me.

So either you thought I cared about your personal feelings towards Facebook, or you just like talking to me. In either case, again, I am still looking for a reason to hate Facebook.

I also don't care about defending Sony in this thread. Great you included Microsoft, still has nothing to do with my post about people hating Facebook. We can talk about your personal vendetta against non -Nintendo consoles in another thread. Here I only care about Facebook.

For other people, to make this easy, unless you are discussing reasons to hate Facebook your reply is probably irrelevant to my post.

You said other things in your post, besides supposedly hating FaceBook. Who cares whether someone hates, likes, or doesn't care about FaceBook? My post is relevant in that respect.
