A friend was selling Gamecube games and I bought him these, both CIB.

Luigi's Mansion
Years ago, I let another friend keep my original because her collection was small. And yes, I'm still friends with her.

Star Fox: Assault
I played the multiplayer years ago, but never the main story.

If by the end of the month he still has it, I might buy his copy of Baten Kaitos as well.

May 30th, 2025 EDIT:
Yep, I bought from my friend his copies of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean as well as Tales of Symphonia, these were the last games he was selling. Never played a game from either series, so this will be a first.

I'm hopeful one day I can get that copy of Baten Kaitos Origins I saw in my city last year.

@Zuljaras Very nice. Still my favorite Castlevania of all time and there's just something about the original PS release of that game that makes it my favorite version. Its probably the cheesy voice acting but come on it gave birth to some of the most iconic lines in gaming.

I fire up my original copy once a year for a playthrough just to hear those lines.

@Tasuki my favorite as well
The original cheesy acting is the way to go! "What is a man?!" It never gets old!

Soon I expect to get Castlevania Chronicles PS1 and I think I the only CV left is Vampire's Kiss (aka Castlevania Dracula X) on the SNES.

The rest are just copies of the same game on different platforms like Lords of Shadow for the PS3 etc.

I am this close to having a complete collection

Tasuki

@Zuljaras Now thats dedication lol. SotN is probably the one Castlevania game that I have multiple copies of. Besides then original disc I also have it on Xbox and PS4. I do have a copy of Castlevania III on NES and all of the DS Castlevania games but that's it.

I always wanted to play the Dreamcast version I think it is of SotN cause I heard it added some things that weren't in the PS version but the price of it has kept me from snagging it.

@Tasuki Ahhh I do not have the Dreamcast version because ... well ... I do not have a Dreamcast I forgot about that one! Damn! Maybe in the distant future, but it was all in Japanese, or I am mistaken? I collect and play only games in English

I think I will stay contempt with having it physically on the PS1, PSP and PS4/5.

I heard that there was a physical copy of SotN on the Xbox 360 but it is locked only for the US region.

Tasuki

@Zuljaras Yeah it was on Xbox 360 but is backwards compatible on the Series X and Xbox One. Not sure about it being region lock since I live on the US. Maybe some one over at Pure Xbox may know.

As for the Dreamcast version I believe it is all in Japanese. I belive there is fan translations out there for it but that alot of work just to play a game that's on so many other systems.

@Tasuki I meant that the 360 is region locked and SOTN for it was only released in the US. In order to have it legitimately I have to import it with a console I have only done that with N64 and StarCraft 64

I have lost faith in Xbox (since Xbox One) for their setup requiring internet and MS account and that is continued with Series X. Also let's not forget that most of their releases (from their studios) are discs that require internet to download the rest of the game

Sorry for the rant

But all in all, the last revision of the 360 (I have the E series) is a fantastic console! Only if it could take screenshots like the generations after it

A quick stop at my local retro game shop and I ended up picking up a PS2 Memory card and my son 3nded up getting NFL 2K2 on PS2. The games I was looking for they didn't have so maybe next week I will stop by and see if they have them.

Received the copy of Fight Night Round 2 (Gamecube version) that I bought via Facebook Marketplace from another state.

I'm sure there is a good semi-realistic boxing game here, but I bought it mostly for the playable SNES Little Mac and the emulated version of SNES Super Punch-Out!! that's included as a bonus on the GC version.

Not to mention, I played an exhibition match of Fight Night and got my rear spectacularly handed to me by Muhammad Ali. I need to learn the controls before I commit to Career Mode. As of right now, I'm playing for the same reason I play NBA Street V3 and Sonic Riders: For fun.

Other than that, I'm seeing if I can get the copies of SSX on Tour and Battalion Wars that I also saw on FB Marketplace on other states.

So far at a local Gaming Expo I picked up ESPN NFL 2K5, TNA Impact, Kengo and Warriors of Might and Magic on PS2. Nothing for SNES has caught my eye but the day is still young.

The Magical Quest is a gem. I hope you will enjoy your time with it. I purchased a copy not that long ago myself. It was one of my favourite SNES games, when I was a young boy. Changing costumes was a cool way to keep the gameplay fresh and like many SNES games it has a great magical atmosphere.

a new small comic book shop just opened up in the downtown area so I walked to check that place out. they have a few new odd stuff for new comic books like a Toxic Avenger Meets Jesus Christ.

and they have a wall shelf old old NES and Super Nintendo games that are pretty cheap. I bought the old NES games Bubble Bobble and the NES Willow game

Got Ridge Racer Type 4 (cib) for the PlayStation 1. Tried the Ridge Racer Hi-Spec demo, which was included and lost the race. Tried the first Gran Prix race of the main game and got first place. The games are not easy for me.

I like it. Feels good and the atmosphere is cool. This will be a good time.
