Semi-recently got both Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and Final Fantasy 1 + 2 for GBA. FF1+2 had a slightly damaged box, but it had the manual and all inserts. Not too bad for about $16. M&L:SS came in a nearly perfect box, and was only missing one insert, I think. And that was only $11, if I recall correctly.
I also borrowed Metroid: Zero Mission and A Link to the Past for GBA from a friend. I must say, Zero Mission is way better than I expected. It feels like it's really just Metroid being remade in the exact same fashion as Super Metroid. Really, that is the case. And I must say, I like it.

Hoooo yes it is. We never got Pikmin 2 Wii, remember?
What he says is true, I rarely see a copy for less than $40. But as I mentioned earlier in the thread, I got it for $10 last year due to a mislabeling as Pikmin 1 by the nearest GameStop.

Had a look at JB HiFi today and you can get Pikmin 2 Wii for $20 new, Xenoblade is already down to $60 new (was $90 2 months ago) Last Story and Pandora's Tower are already at $70 down from $90. Looks like I will be getting some cheap games next year thats if Wii U goes through a drought which I think will be very unlikely.
Here is my latest retro purchase which I just received today, one of the last three games released for the NES in NA. I am slowly collecting the NES Mega Man's... I never played this one since I was long gone from the NES and onto the Super by 1994. I don't think Europe has ever had this game released even in a collection?
I wonder how long this one will take to appear on the VC since it was published by Nintendo in NA?
@Waveboy&Mickeymac: I have had this debut dozens of times and really each person has a different definition of retro as can be seen by my thread here https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/retro/what_does_retro_mean... However the definition of retro here on The Nintendo Life boards from what a little dragon told me iirc is any non-current system or non-current gen can be discussed here. So yes even though PS2 is still in production it is considered a last gen console along with Gamecube and Xbox so they can be discussed here in the retro forums.
Either way, the bottom line is that we don't really care whether or not anyone personally thinks something is 'retro enough' for the Retro section here. this isn't a voting area, it's a place to talk about video games. if it's not a current-gen system or game it's fair game for the 'retro' boards and will not be locked or deleted on the 'well it's not old enough' basis alone. If that's not good enough for you, ignore the comment or topic in question and move on to the next one.
if we could get back to discussing actual purchases made, that would be just ducky. thanks in advance, everyone~!
