I have 2 save slots I used in Super Mario RPG, but when I load the game all the slots are empty. If I go to a suspend point, they both show up when I go to save. How do I load the first save slot using the suspend file? I have the Super Nintendo Classic.

@RTZ if I understand your situation, you"ll want to save the game using the yellow save blocks while playing your save state. That should retain your save file seperately from save states. Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to access both save files though. Were they for the same playthrough?

Yes, they are for the same playthrough. I also tried using the rewind function, but the x button on the suspend file screen didn't do anything.

@RTZ Yeah, you will want to use the save blocks that are scattered throughout the game. All you gotta do is jump on them and you'll be prompted if you want to save your progress. Now, once you've saved that way, you can access that same save file next time you start the game. Also, if you get a game over, you'll immediately go back to the last save block you've visited.

Also keep in mind that if you load a suspend point/save state that was made prior to saving via the save block, you'll lose that progress. The home menu will tell you just that if that's the case.

AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

So I figured out a work around. After loading the suspend file and pressing L+R+Select+Start I was able to get to the main menu to load my save slot. Not sure why they disappeared to begin with, but oh well. Now if only I could figure out why my rewind function is not working..... Does anyone else have that problem? Maybe I got a wonky unit although it looked fine and was in the box. I go to the suspend file screen and it says X to rewind and nothing happens when I press X. I watched videos and I don't think I'm doing anything wrong....

Rewind works fine with this game on my launch system.
