Okay, so this is how this happened.
I game overed on sunset hill act 2, after watching the intro again, I went to the options. Turned off the time limit and turned the difficulty to easy (in that order)
Then I went to the sound test, listened to the entirety of the opening, played the chao's playground, and then scrolled over to the 6th sound.
The game froze completely, the side of the screen had black squares and not even taking out the cartridge fixed it. I had to turn of the GBA.
When i started it up, the Nintendo logo below "GAMEBOY" was corrupted, it looked like the pixels got thrown everywhere.
It took me a few resets to fix it.
When I started it up, my save was corrupted.
Can someone tell me if thats a glitch in the game? My cartridge has a problem with it? An issue with my gameboy?
