Topic: Seeking functional extension cord(s) for NES Classic Mini console

I purchased controller extension cords for my NES Classic Edition mini console from two separate sellers and in both cases, the system would not respond to commands/buttons on my controller when either set of cords were plugged into the console. It’s a miracle these defective products didn’t ruin the connection ports on the console.

Is there any trusted official retailer out there? Does Nintendo themselves manufacture extension cords? I will spend the money as I can no longer be sitting three feet away from a TV screen like I would in 1990. Thanks!
