I don't know if this is the right board in the forum for this.

For those who don't know, Ralph Baer created the first ever video game system with it being called the Odyssey aka "the Brown Box". He worked on the system back in the 1960's before it was released in 1972. It is not a typo by me saying 1960's because he first worked on the system in 1966 and had a working prototype of the system in 1968.

He is responsible for the light gun genre. Ralph created the first ever light gun game ever and designed the first ever light gun. Ralph also proposed the concept of "active cartridges" containing additional electronic components allowing adding more game features.

RIP to one of the most influential people in video game history.

If anyone wants to know more about Baer, I really recommend reading his book - "Videogames: In The Beginning". It's a very enlightening book, well worth a read!
