I have recently obtained a mint condition NES challenge set with plastic wrapping around the 2 controllers, console, game and instruction booklet as well as the cables. It also has its original styrofoam packaging, as well as the original box. How much would this be worth if I were to sell it?
Send it over to the Wavemyster and I'll tell ya!. Anyways! There's a 'Sealed' NES TopLoader going for around $600 on eBay, But I'd imagine the original Nes Challenge set costing a bit more. Here's an idea what a refurbished set goes for >
Which remindes me. They had the NES 'Action Set' box in fantastic condition on eBay for sale by itself for $60....I should of snaged it while i had the chance considering it's incredibly rare to begin with when somebody is just selling the box only. sigh*
Thanks! I'll probably sell it for around 250ish - thanks for the help!
@everyone you may be a little surprised but the top loader can go for more and if yer talkin with the dog bone controllers it gets even higher in price. id keep the system Collinhall

Ok - so a new game store opened up in my area, and its completely awesome. They sell about 1/2 of all the NES games, ever, a good selection of famicon games, all the bundles (IN BOX ) of the NES, n64, SNES, N64, and all the Nintendo handhelds, along with all the Sega consoles, Atari consoles, and a few other obscure ones, in mint with the original boxes. And for all of these consoles they have tons of games as well, with a good number in their original boxes. I snagged the Donkey Kong edition N64 (clear green) with the game and one controller for 40 bucks, the light zapper, Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt on one cart, Yoshi, and all that is on top of the NES challenge box I won. (Only one other person showed up to the tournament besides my friend and me) So basically, screw selling, I am starting my retro games collection gloves This place is freaking sweet, they added new springs and fixed up everything that was even slightly damages, and everything in the store was insanely well kept and repackaged. Can't wait to go back and take one of the R.O.B's they have, as well as one of their power gloves!
So I got a Clear Green N64 with one clear green controller, Donkey Kong 64, Mario Kart 64 (in its minty box), an NES challenge set minty in the box, Super Mario Bro's, Duck Hunt, and the NES Zapper for 150 bucks, not bad IMO lol
Wow nice score indeed. Starting a retro collection is really fun, I have an N64, a model 2 Sega Genesis with CD, a Dreamcast and a SNES myself and I am always on the look out for games for those systems.
If you'd like feel free to share you latest retro goodness purchase in this thread
