My GBA SP (AGS-101) Won't Save! - Retro Forum

I got this handheld system a few months ago, but never was able to play it until I picked up "Metroid Zero Mission" tonight. I snapped it in place, and everything worked fine, until I tried saving at the first location in the game. I turned it off, powered up after a few seconds, and the data was gone! This happened 3 times over about ten minutes; anyone have a solution?

I remember reading a few years ago about some dad who bought his kid a bootlegged kiddie GBA game, only to find out it had foul language (because the pirates used a ROM downloaded from the Internet that still had an intro added by whatever piracy group first uploaded the ROM to the Internet )

Another reason why I don't by the cart only. There is higher probability that you are getting a legit copy when a manual and box are supplied along with it
