Topic: Is the first Zelda Game The Minish Cap?

My mid-term paper for my last year of high school was on proving the timeline's existance, and what order they all fell in. I did TONS of research both in official interviews, and by playing all the games. As far as I could tell, Minish Cap WAS the first, due to the hints given in other games, and by the fact that Ezlo was his first green cap. Since then the heros all wore green with a green cap. Vatti also is a lesser evil than Gannon, so it shows a rise in power if Minish Cap was first. It seems Vatti and Agahnim (from a link to the past) were both after their own gain by trying to raise the true evil to take over Hyrule. Ganon is the biggest treat, and Ganondorf seems to be trying to unlock his true form throughout many of them.

If you are just wondering which to play first, it doesn't matter (save for MM before OoT and PH and ST before WW) They are all fantastic stories and hold their own within the game. A timeline was confirmed but no one outside of Nintendo knows it for sure.

I'm more interested in what grade they gave you.

also, it's been a while since I've looked it up (when I wrote that paper Phantom Hourglass was JUST released, so I had to do a speed run of it while taking all sorts of notes) but if you pay attention to what King Gustaff says in Minish Cap, it's hints more at being the first. If it isn't the first, it is certainly extremely early in the timeline.

@Mickeymac I got 98% on it due to two spelling errors. Other than that it was a perfect paper. edit one was an error that I missed, the other was a continuity problem between saying "hylian" and "hyrulian" which counted as a spelling error. The entire report was 8 pages long (not counting cover sheets and bibliography)

Who even knows, if this timeline actually exists, the Minish Cap may not even a part of it, since it was made by Capcom.

Capcom actually has a history with Nintendo, as they also made Oracle of seasons/ages. While they were made by capcom, everything was influenced and (more importantly) approved by nintendo as cannon. It isn't like Oos, OoA, and Minish Cap are in the same category as the CDi games. lol
