Many years ago whilst working in a Game store. An old man gave me what he called a ‘test board’ he claimed to have worked at Rare which is in Leicestershire. From memory he said it was for Secrets of Mana? Would that add up. It basically looks like a cartridge innards but has handwriting on the Chips. On the top right ‘Izzy R03’ middle left ‘RO4’ middle right ‘RO2’ and on bottom right ‘Izzy-SN7-RO1 FDE7’? I can’t see where to upload a photo or I would😂. Many thanks;-)

Nothing about that matches up.
The only "Izzy" I know is "Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings", a platformer starring the mascot for the 1996 Olympics. Definitely not a Rare (company) game.
Rare wouldn't be working on Secret of Mana, that was a Square game. That was a game that was made in Japan and localized in English in the US. Nintendo of Europe would've handled the French and German localizations, likely at its headquarters in Germany.
