I can probably get it for 20-30 euros, so I was wondering if it is worth a purchase? I'm currently playing GBA games on my NDS Phat and GameCube (GameBoy Player) which is fine, but maybe I'll get a better experience if I actually play them on a true GBA handheld?

For GBA games, I'd suggest either the Micro or the DS Lite. They've both got great screens, very bright, and they've got great sound quality too. I always use my Micro, I never use the SP or the DS unless I have to.
The Gameboy Micro has a way better display than the DS Phat. It is much brighter and colours look better but it is also smaller. I doubt you get a better experience because the whole device is smaller.
I believe the DS Lite is the best way to play GBA games overall. I doubt you'd get one around 20-30 euros though. It's too bad they removed that functionality in the DSi and 3DS, but times move on. As for the Micro, I've never seen anyone use one so I couldn't comment. The screen does look awfully small though.
the screen is small on the Micro, but you do get used to it after a while, and in terms of portability it can't be beat IMO. it's even smaller than my cell phone... i could barely fit my Lite into my pockets (especially if i was wearing jeans), so i'm betting a Phat would be a definite no-go, but the Micro is pretty awesome in that respect. :3

It's a nice gadget, really portable, and those faceplates really ramp up its individuality. Aside from that fact that it only does GBA games, aside from the GBA which also does GBC games itself, I'd say find a good deal and go for it.
Of course, I'll stick to my DS but I'd really like to get a Micro and a few games whenever I'm in the mood for a small break.
The only big problem I have with the DS is the position of the buttons (being 45 degrees) which makes it difficult to play certain GBA games that require constant pushing and holding of the buttons.
Honestly, I'd go for a GBA or a GBA SP since they can play older GB games

I like the Micro a lot. It is tiny, which takes a little bit of getting used to, but it's so portable and convenient that I'd definitely recommend it. I don't actually play many GBA games anymore, but in all honesty it's just a cool gadget to have around.
I hate to admit it, but I honestly bought mine because I thought a smaller handheld would be easier to hide while playing in class. And I was right!

The GB Micro is great when it comes to portability, I don't have one though, I wish I had the Famicom style GB Micro, looks so awesome. But overall, if you have a GBA SP, I'd stick to that, since it can play classic GB games, while GB Micro cannot.
Another advantage of the Micro is if you're into retro games which are played with the unit turned sideways it's a lot more playable than trying to use a D-Pad and buttons when playing on a DS the same way.
Another plus over the GBA is the fact that it has a normal 3.5mm headphone jack!
I think I'm going for it, since it's that cheap and all. A DS Lite isn't quite an option for me, because it's only a few months away before the 3DS comes out, and I also still enjoy my NDS games on my Phat. Thanks everyone.

While the GBA SP is the best GBA out ther because of its backlight and GB compatibility, I would still say to go for the GB Micro. Even though the only advantage it has is that its small, and it is just a novelty thing, I still love mine to pieces. The design of it is just so sleek and attractive. And playing it around others typically raises the question "what's that?" as know one seems to know what the heck a Micro is. So, I say get it. Especially if you can find it for that price.
I'd very much rather have a Micro over my regular see-through purple GBA that has no back-light But, I have a DS Lite which works fine, other than the bulkiness compared to the Micro.
I sell them at the store I work at for $40. so 20 or 30 euros is about the same (I think). I think they are worth it. They are more reliable than the SP's since there is no hinge to break, very bright and high res (same res as the sp, but smaller screen). I think games look better on it, it was simply released at the wrong time for the wrong price. Now adays though? Yeah it's pretty sweet.
