It's too hard to pick a favorite, as the GameCube has a lot of great games. I'll list off all my noteworthy ones in no particular order:

Luigi's Mansion
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Mario Party 4, 5, 6, and 7
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Mario Power Tennis
F-Zero GX
Kirby Air Ride
Metroid Prime (didn't play much of MP2 as of this post)
Pikmin 1 and 2
Star Fox Adventures (liked it more than Star Fox Assault)
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Sonic Mega Collection
Super Monkey Ball 2 (never played the first one)

I didn't mention Wind Waker as I played that on the Wii U. As for Sonic Mega Collection, I know it's kind of cheating since it's a compilation of all the Genesis Sonic games, however that's how I got to play many of those games. Plus I like it more than Sonic Mega Collection Plus on the PS2.

I've not played very many GameCube games sadly (I want to get more but a lot of them are so expensive now!) but my favourite so far is definitely Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

@MarioLover92 Just curious, why do you prefer Sonic Mega Collection on GameCube?

Currently Playing:
WarioWare: Get It Together (Switch), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii), Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC), Deltarune (PC)

MarioLover92

@Dogorilla I like its presentation and bonus features more. I have a bit of a nostalgic attachment to it too, since as mentioned earlier, that's how I got to play most of these games for the first time. Also, alongside Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, that's how I got to be a Sonic fan during the early 2000s.

Though I appreciate how it added some of the Game Gear games, Mega Collection Plus (at least on the PS2) had that delayed sound glitch too, for some weird reason. I would play Sonic 1 (the Genesis version), for instance, and when I started playing on Green Hill Zone, the sound got all staticy and the sound and music got delayed by like 1 second. So yeah, that's all the reasons why I like the GameCube version more.

@MarioLover92 Ah ok, I've played a bit of Sonic Mega Collection Plus on my brother's PS2 but I didn't realise it more glitches and removed some bonus features. I'm glad to have the GameCube version then, although am I right in thinking that version doesn't have a save function (other than for the games that have inbuilt saves like Sonic 3)? That's one big advantage of Plus if so.

Currently Playing:
WarioWare: Get It Together (Switch), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii), Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC), Deltarune (PC)

Mario Kart Double Dash!!
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Resident Evil
Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil 4
Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2
Star Wars Jedi Outcast
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Sonic Mega Collection
Metroid Prime

These were my GCN games when the machine was relevant (2003-2007) and despite some great games I have collected for the system since (about 90?) they still remain my favourite to this day, along with other classics such as Mario Sunshine, Luigi’s Mansion, Twilight Princess, Pikmin, FZero GX, Star Fox Adventures, Beyond Good & Evil and many others I have played since.

@Dogorilla Ah yeah, I think I remember that version lets you use save states. Sonic Gems Collection has those too. The GameCube version does let you save via Sonic 3's built-in save function (Sonic 3 & Knuckles, as well), but that's about it.

Soul Caliber II. I logged in so many hours in that game, that I can't count them any more. It was after all the reason I bought my GameCube in the first place.

I haven't played a whole lot of GCN games yet unfortunately (I chose the PS2 that gen), but from the ones I have played, I'd say Kirby Air Ride and Mario Kart: Double Dash are my favorites. Racing isn't even one of my favorite genres, but these two are some of the most fun multiplayer experiences I've had. I'd love to see a Kirby Air Ride 2 with an expanded City Trial or another Mario Kart that uses the two characters per kart mechanic (Maybe it'd be a good way to have MK9 stand out more from MK8D if it comes to Switch). If playing the Wii U remaster counts, Wind Waker would be my favorite, but I don't know that I feel comfortable counting it myself.

I only ever played one GameCube so it's my favourite by default. Enter the Matrix.

It is what it is.

I don't have a favourite - I have a pretty solid collection and they're (mostly) all like children to me, cherished in their own way.

But the game that stands out as making an impression on me was Mario Smash Football/Super Mario Strikers. I loved the style and presentation of that game - every goal was a 'moment' and I've never tired of watching the player celebrations and goal replays. This was the game that woke me up to the Mushroom Kingdom family - I'd hardly ever played any Mario game before then, just a bit of Super Mario Kart at sleepovers, but when I played Mario Smash Football I realised, "Wow, Mario and his buddies have got it going on!"
