I posted this because i wanted to see other people's favorite consoles and games. My favorite console is the super nintendo. My favorite video game is yoshi's island.
I'm glad they released the nintendo system! It gave birth to a great empire! They made so many great systems all because of one! I don't have those ones, though.......... But I do have the SNES and the Wii

The DS has such an amazing library. There are tons of 32-bit sprite based side scrollers(can't say the same for the 3DS, as it feels like a portable Gamecube) and the touch screen controls were revolutionary. The 'Lite' blew me away with it's brightness levels, controls and eye popping color which basically made made the DS Phat look like a piece of junk in comparison.
I do love my 3DS but I will miss the more SNES based graphics - where many more games putting an emphasis on good pixel art. You're also right that at this point the 3DS has really been a disappointment in terms of games compared to the DS - even the sequels to popular DS games fall short.
The eShop and menu screen are great improvements over the DS, but in the end it always has to come down to the games.
