So, 2 days ago, I saw Dragon Warrior Monsters at one of our many, good old Half-Price bookstores. I read Corbie's review, watched a video, and decided that I wanted to get it. So, yesterday I went back and picked it up, and I was VERY glad I did. It's a very fun game, and I completely agree with the review here. What about you guys? Have any of you played it before? If not, you should think about picking it up (if you can play GB games, of course )
I had the original years ago when it was new. I remember doing probably 40hours on it before I grew tired of it doing 1-2hours most nights a week in bed before sleeping for the evening. It really was an admirable and fun game, much more so than the spinoff spiritual successor out there now with DQM Joker by far. Sure as GBC not as pretty but games up for it with the game itself.

I bought this game on it's release date thinking it was going to be like Pokemon. It was very repetitive as far as I remember, but really fun. I still have my copy, but I've not played it since I beat it many years ago.
EDIT: From what I recall you have to save a Princess (?) by going through different wormhole type of thingies. Random battles pop up quite a bit. You collect an item or something then are sent back to the Castle (?) which is in a tree. The tree works as a hub for going to your quests, breeding monsters and selling/buying stuff.
